Elena, Damon and Matt are now on the way across the US to The Dark Dimesion the save Stefan, while Bonnie, Meridith and the rest of Fell Church is in the now about to be destroyed Fell Church. Bonnie and Meridith uses there time to research on the Kitsune and the things they have brought with them. But as the days goes the tension between Elena and Damon grows stronger and stronger and it can´t be ignored, Matt feel it so he goes back to Fell's Church, while Bonnie and Meridith catches up with Elena and Damon. The four of them travels to The Dark dimesion where they pretend to be Damon´s slaves. Here they discover a whole new and creepy world, where the get unexpected friends. While they get closer and closer to Stefan, Elena and Damon relationship grows to something she can´t take back. And wait till the end where a shocking thing happens.

So this is book 5 in The Vampire Diaries series and book 2 in the return. The Vampire Diaries series is my favourite book serious and i seriously can´t get enough of it, so i knew that no matter what happened i was bound to love it.
A lot of people say that they are dissapointed about The Return series, but i don´t understand that. I am just happy that she is continuen the series and that is more about Damon, because he seriously deserve some more book time and time with Elena and there is plenty of that in this. This book opens up a whole new dimension with a whole lot of new things that could have there own books. But in some level i had the feeling that this book just tells a whole lot of things to keep the book full, so it is kind of a book that prevent what is going to happened even more. But this book was also necessary for Elena and Damon´s relationship. I think that eventhough Damon turned human, he will become a vampire again in the next book, because honestly: what good has he in the book when he is human? And second, it is just not Damon´s thing to be human, he loves being a vampire.
I like the character Sage and the way he speaks: like french and when he says Madame, sometimes it is just funny.
Stefan has become really tough, but you can only expect that when he has been fighting to live.nAnd Damon has changed so much for Elena and eventhough i would be terrible i really hope that she ends up with Damen. The chemistry between Damon and Elena is absolutely wonderful and I love how dedicated her friends are to help Elena. I will really kill myself if Damon ends up with Bonnie. I don´t have anything against Bonnie, but i have just never liked the thought of her and Damon together.
I am really looking forward to the last book, with all of the things going on. I am so exited. Too bad we have to wait so long for the next book.
