Immortal Wolf By Bonnie Vanak

Erica is a pureblooded wolf, but not just a wolf. Her blood can heal dead or dying things, but a year ago the goddess Aibelle put a curse on her, so that at the same time everyone she touches will die. Now her pack wants her sacrificed, because ín the old books of their species it is written that that the cursed one, will killed all wolfs. And the only person that can kill her is The Kallen who´s named is Raphael, who is mixed-breed, immortal and wolf. Erica don´t want to die and she has just found her mate via her mind, but haven´t met him yet, she also lives out in the woods by her packs land, because they are afraid of her. When Rafe comes he wants to live in one of the houses out in the woods, so he can be on better terms with Erica, he also think that there is something weird with Erica´s pack. Erica doesn´t want him there, but they quickly finds out that they are each others mate. So now in 3 weeks by the full moon he has to kill her. Alot of things happen, like Rafe taken Erica to town to get new clothe and them mating. But a lot of weird thing happens and Rafe has has the suspicion that she doesn´t have the death touch, and that her pack is Morph, evil wolf who can shift and who fead on blood. They find out it is true when they attack him and almost kill him, while feeding on his immortal blood. He latter then get his brothers to come so they can kill the morphs, and he then has to sacrifice Erica, hoping that she wont die of the killing.

Not so much to day about this book. I fund it kind of interesting at first, but then it got really boring and they didn´t really do anything.

Hayden a shifter born with empathic abilities, that means that she can feel what other people are feeling, and very often she cant feel her own emotions. It is soon her time for transformation, but a creature named The Harvester from hell who comes every full moon to snatch the power and soul of people want to do that to her, and then she will die. She know that it want to take her and her future mate so she runs away from Wolford, so she can´t find a mate so only she will die. She escapes to Athena a winter vacation resort, where she gets a job at a cafe, but after 3 weeks is fund by Daniel. And apparently she can´t feel his emotions. She tries to escape, but it doesn´t work. After work her and Daniel go to a bar, where Lisa one of Hayden colleagues at work, also is there. At night when Daniel walk Hayden home, she tries to escape again, But she hasen´t walked in the woods for long, before she sees a mist? And Daniel shows up. She also has a feeling that Daniel is more than a shifter. The next day she work and by night they are about to go to a party at the slobes, but they are closed because a boy is missing, the 2 of them find him and bring him back. The next day at night there is a party and by next morning Daniel and Hayden are going back to Wolford. He keep teling her to accept him as her mate, but she wont risk anybody´s life. It take them a couple of days to come back to Wolford. One night they camp in the woods, and by night Hayden go out in the woods and sees a black panther. When they get there, they are put into sword fighting lessons with the other Guardians to defeat The Harvester. The day before Hayden transformation her and Daniel go out to a cave he know and shows her that he is the black panther. When the next day at night Daniel declare her as his mate in front of the others and elder, she says no and tells the elder that Daniel is the on who brouht The Harvester to Wolford and her, she does this as a way to protect him from going. And the elders lock him in the dungen. The others go to a clearing in the woods and when her time come The >Harvestes and six hounds from hell shows up. They fight them, but the Harvester is strong. Daniel shows up and take on The Harvester and Hayden kills it. Hayden accepts Daniel as her mate and go through the transformation. After Daniel and Hayden decide to go out and find other shifters like Daniel

This is the fourth instalment to the series and it is written from a new character Hayden´s perspective. Some of the things i really liked was the fact that we got introduced to a new character and got away from Wolford. And that we got to see a shifter who wasn´t a wolf. Also that we got to see Kayla, Lindsey and Brittany doing things together. Some funny lines; Love these lines: “What are you? A writer for bad horror movies?”, and "Did you not get notified that I’m on the harvester’s playlist?”, and "Suffice it to say that we had our own daytime soap going on back at Wolford." and “I like to live dangerously,” he said. “Yeah, well, then, take up bungee jumping.” and “I do believe it. We don’t know everything about the harvester. It’s not as if it’s been on Oprah." This book was a lot more fun than the others.

It is now Brittany´s turn to become a full shifter, but as she stands under the full moon nothing happens. She is devastated because she as a person has crawed her whole life to be one. She is now not sure if she is a static or if she is suppose to wait to the next full moon, or what the hell to do, so she cries. The next day she travels back to Wolford, but has decided not to tell anyone and trie to fix the problem herself. But on her way home she come across a trap set by Bio-Chrome. When she gets back she tells Connor, who then goes out to look at it. After she goes to a sacret room, where the book with the history of the shifters lies to find out what is wrong with her. But is interupted by Lindsey, and Brittany confesses to her. The next day there is a lot of fuss, because Britanny has gone through the transformation alone and survived, as an old legend said that females couldn´t go through it alone. She also have a meeting with the elders an suspect that maybe they know about her. After there is a guardian meeting, where they agree to get into teams, to do different things so they can take down Bio-Chrome. Later Brittany goes to the gym,and Connor is there, and after some time there Connor and her are "fighting", and Brittany lets Connor win, she also finds out that it was a test made by Connor, to see if she really was a warrior worthy of his team. At night there is a movie night and Connor seem different around her, and when they are outside he kisses her. Later the next day Lacas tells her that she is now on his team, because Connor kicked her of hers. later that day, Kayla, Lucas and her are on their way back to the cabins, but Brittany is goingto her mom first, who just got home for Europe, to figure out what is going on, and her mom tells her that her dad is human. At night her and some of the others are meeting at the bar, but Britanny gets attackt by Mason and is taken away, and she suddenly finds Connor: knocked out, with her too, beign taksen out by Mason. Mason have taken blood froom them and before Connor wakes finds out that she is human. Mason and his group take them with them to the lab, where they lock them up. They are there for days, Mason drawing Connor´s blood and teling him to change. Then one of the days he lets a Couger get into the cell and Connor has to change, he tell Brittany to change but she tells him she is human, He is shocked but changes, he kills the couger, but is hurt, Brittany tells them to help him and she will tell them everything. She tells them some things and get back to Connor, who is okay with her not beign a shifter, he tells her that the others will save them tomorrow night. The next day just before the others arrive, Mason comes in and tells that the serum is ready. Connor finds out that she agreed to be the first to use the serum, and tells her not to do it and she doesn´t, but Mason does on himself and become not wolf or human. The others come, they escape, brings down the place and after Mason attacks Connor and Brittany and she kills him. 2 days after it is time for the elder and dark guardians to decide if she will continue to be one of them, and they accept her, and Connor declares her as his mate. Now she just have to accept herself.

This is the third instalment to the series and it is written from Brittany´s perspective. This is problably the most deep book of them all, because Brittany really has something to be scared of. You get a feeling that if she isn´t a wolf, she has nothing to be and she can just lay back and die. And you really feel that she feels for the Dark Guardian thing. i have always thought she was enoying, but now you suddenly understand, why she hasn´t been a part of the group, and she almost become my favourite characters in this series. But now i am kind of getting tired of the whole transformaton progress and them beign confused. And i really would have liked also in the other books that the author could have shifted the point of view to their mates sometimes, because you don´t get to know them, like i want to. some funny moment i think was these lines -
Haha "the other pain: Mason." - Brittany. Haha yay the other pain in the ass! OMG and this, so much fun: "So?" Lucas prodded. "Anyone up for a two-legged run in the moonlight?" LOL. I just felt so much for Brittany. She so didn´t deserve this. I just wished that something would happen and she would be wolf, but it didn´t. I am not sure that i would have been okay, and in the future beign with all the others. Thsi is a fun, good and nice series.

Full Moon Review

(Book 2 In The Dark Guardian Series)

The gang is at Wolford to celebrate the summer solstice celebration, at the night of this Rafe and Lindsey go off to take a ride on Rafe´s motorcycle and he tells Lindsey, that he wants to be with her as his mate and that he has her named tatooed on him. When they get back to the national park, the first thing they do is to go on a bar. Here Britanny meets Dallas, who they are suspicious of, so Lucas ask Rafe to keep and eye on him. The next day they are bringing out some girls in the forest, and when they are on their way back to the cabins, Connor, Lindsey, Kayla and Lucas makes camp and Lindsey goes out to find berries, here she almost gets attackt by a mountain-lion, but Rafe saves her. Then suddenly Dallas is there and now he knows about them, he tells them that Bio-Chrome has a lab just outside the forest somewhere, and the guys tells him that tommorew he will show Rafe where it is. At night when Rafe is keeping watch, Lindsey goes out of her telt and ends up kissing Rafe. The next day her and Connor has a date, but it doesn´t go as planned when they find Dallas dead body, killed by a wolf. By night when Lindsey has gone to bed, Rafe shows up asking how she is doing. He tells her that he is going to find the lab, and Lindsey decides to join him. They travel on his motorcycle and steal a lot of kisses. When they get to one of the secret caves, Connor, Lucas and Kayla shows up a little time after. The next morning Connor, Lucas and Kayla are captured by Mason, Rafe finds out that his bike has been tapped and he throws away the device. They sucessfully free the others after 2 days, because Rafe finds the lab. But lindsey gets shot through her shoulder. She wakes up at the hospital and is okay. She tells Connor and Rafe that she has choosen Connor as her mate. But at the night of the full moon at the waterfall, Rafe shows up challenging Connor, and Lindsey realise that Rafe is suppose to be her mate, and so he does. When they get back to Wolford they are greeted, but many are worried about Britanny and her transformation.

This is the sequel to the series and it is written from Lindsey perspective. The book is a Nice, easy, short read. But it felt, in the begin where Britanny was there, that this book could have been about her because there is so much of her in this just with Lindsey´s thoughts. I really can´t handle all of Lindsey´s: I don´t know. It is really irretating, when she already knows that she wants Rafe, just get on with it. All she do is complainteing all the time about her confusion. Kayla definently didn´t do that in her book. Lindsey just stop feeling sorry for yourself. I also feel like she is pushing Kayla away, and i really like Kayla. I was suprised with the hierarchy of the shifters, like Lindsey´s family was upper class and Rafe lower, But i guess i shouldn´t be suprised because that is how it is even in the real world. And why is Lindsey parents suddenly doing a 180 on Rafe, now they kind of likes him. This is not the best series if you want well developed characters or plot, but i still think it is a nice read, to do just to have fun.

Jessica's Wedding Review

Jessica and Lucius is about to get married tommorew, so of course her best friend Mindy has got to be there. They quick becomes good friends again after Jessica picks her up in the airport and Jessica shows her the Vladescu casttle and Mindy is completly taken back. By night there is the pre-wedding dinner and we meet Lucius´s best man, Raniero Vladescu Lovatu. By night Jessica gets a book from her mom, who was giving to her by Mihaela her birth mom. By night when Jessica sleeps she dream about the day Lucius propose to her. Morning is coming to soon and she wants to just dream on the dream, but she want to get married. Mindy helps her and the dress Jessica designed is beautiful, she also draws her blood as part of the ceremony. They get married and hold a party and the story endig with them going into their room about to do "The Dirty Deed"

In the begining i didn´t really like Jessica's Guide to Dating on the Dark Side, but in the end i came to love it, so i was really happy when i found out she had made a little novella. It was a really sweet and good story, but i am always open if she wants to make another book, and there is the material with future kids and Claudiu. I really like the pictures in the novelle, because it was really nice to see the things in real life, instead of imagening. So OMG! seriously i loved Jessica´s wedding dress, I want one just like it. It was speciel and extremly beautiful. A thing that plays a big role in this nevella i think is the eyes, the study the a lot and a lot of their feelings come from them. But a really good story, for us readers who really wanted more to the story.

When Kayla was little her parents got killed in the forest in a national park, because some hunters had mistaken them for wolfs. Since then she has had adoptive parent, and last year they took her to the national park, so she could get over the fear of her parents dying there. So this summer she is working in the national park as a sherpas - a kind of guide. Last year she became really good friends with another Sherpas, Lindsey, it was her who convinced Kayla to work there. But Lindsey isn´t the only sherpas, there is also: Rafe, Brittany, Connor and the leader Lucas Wilde, who Kayla likes, but he doesn´t seem to notice or talk to her much. They have all lived their whole life in the city Tarrant up the road. Kayla is turning 17, so the guys have made a suprise party out in the woods at night, but the whole walk there with Lindsey, she feel like she is beign watched. Lucas askes about it when she get to the party and on the way back to the cabins, he feels it to. The next day, her birthday, is her first official day as an sherpas, and all of the guys are leading a group with a professer - Dr. Keane and his student out in the park, so they can explore wolfs. Among the student is Dr. Keane´s son, Mason who quickly turns out to like Kayla. One night after a couple of days Mason and Kayla sees a black wolf, while looking at stars away from the camp at night. After a couple of days in the woods, they come to a river with a lot of stream. But while Kayla is going over the robe breaks and Kayla almost drowns. When she gets out of the water, she is a long way from the other, and then a bear comes, but she is saved by a beautiful wolf. Later that night Kayla goes a little bit away from camp and finds the wolf, who is not hurt, as it was earlier. They travel on and when they get to the place where the Dr. keane, has to make a permanent camp for 10 days, Kayla says she can stay, knowing that one of the sherpas has to stay behind. ´Lucas gives her permission, but is angry. The days go by, while the other sherpas makes there way back to the cabin. And Kayla is borred. One day Mason and her go to the mountain, but when they get their Mason kissed her and holds her down against her will, then her wolf shows up and Mason shoots it with stunning darts and puts it in a cage. She then finds out that the group really is a Bio-Chrome research team, who believes that some humans can turn into wolfs and that, that wolf is Lucas. And that Mason has just been playing. Kayla thinks they are crazy, but plays along for the evening, because she got to get the wolf out. At night she get it out, it shifts and it is Lucas. They escape and Lucas tells her she is one of them, that she is his mate and that she will have her first change in 48 hours and that she have to accept him as a mate in order to survive. Now she has to choose and accept it and Lucas. But will she be able to do that? And what about the black wolf?

So i really liked this book. It was a fast, easy, but really good read. But one of the things i didn´t like was the prologue, that kind of ruins the whole book with spilling every detail of the mysterie and suspense, so i could really have done without it. I also thought that the last chapter was kind of rushed and that it ended way to soon, with loose ends. And the characters could have been a little better. This is one of those books that is perfect for a rainy day or whenever actually. With romance and fantasy thrown in with teens.

Twisted Review

Tyler has always loved videogames and been the invisible kid, so one day in high school he decided to do something about it, so he starts to spraypaint his school. But he gets caught, arrested and has to spend his summer working, so the school can have money to fix it. This results in Tyler having totaly change for the next school year, now he has muscles and everything. At the end of summer his family goes to a party at his father´s bosses house. His dads boss is Brice Milbury, who owns Milbury Brothers Trust. He is also the father to Bethany and Chip. Chip beign Tyler´s enemy and Bethany his dream girlfriend. After an accident at the party, Bethany has hurt her food from glass. And Tyler slowly begins to become closer to Bethany, but Chip is more and more after him. His family life has never been the easiest and it still isn´t. And suddenly he is claimed to have raped and stalked Bethany. Tyler even go as far as suicide and running away, but eventually stops himself and starts to make thing right with his family, realising that Bethany was never anything for him, and his sister and best friend relationsship.

Sooo, this book was so boring, slow and nothing really happens. I can see the bigger issue with the family Tyler is living in and his suicide attempt and fitting in, but not really something i care about right now. I think that as a character it is some pretty ridicules things Tyler says to Bethany, going down on the floor for her and stuff. I didn´t really liked the fact that everyone was after Tyler like that, it didn´t seem real when the police started doing it too. I think it had a really weird ending, but at the same time it fittet the book. I do on the otherhand think that the cover is kind of cool.
