Amy & Roger's Epic Detour By Morgan Matson

After Amy's father dies in a car crash, everything that this California girl took for granted changes overnight and sice then Amy has gone into a shell and dress to not be notice and has pulled totally away from friends and feels she is to blame for the accident. Her twin brother Charlie is shipped off to rehab in North Carolina after being on drugs for about a year, that Amy knew of.

Her mother accepts a teaching position in Connecticut, leaving Amy home alone for a month to finish her junior year of high school. Then her mom arranges to get Amy to Connecticut via a cross-country drive with her mothers family friend son, 19-year-old Roger who is going to Philadelphia to spend the summer with his dad. Amy doesn´t drive anymore, because she panics even when she is just in a car.

Her mom has planned the whole trip, but they soon decides to take a detour, to make it a real road trip. First they go to Yosemite National Park, because Amy always went there with her dad. Then the dad after they hit Nevada and soon they find out they are on the loniest road in America, then they come to Utah and pretends to be a couple who has a reservations there to get a hotel room, only it turns out to be the honeymoon suite. Soon Roger tells her he wants to go to Colorado Springs, where his college are, where Roger is hoping to work things out with his ex girlfriend Hadley, who he thought was going to be there but isn´t, when they get there.

They stay at a college house where other people who are stayig on campus the summer are living and she meets and sleeps in Roger´s friends Bronwyn´s room and they go to a party. Then the next morning her suitecase is gone, but Roger tells her it is in the car and when they drive away he gives her a note from Bronwyn and all her normal clothe (camoflage clothe) is gone shifted out with Dresses, skirts etc. that is Bronwyn´s stuff and Amy is actually fine with it.

Then They go to Kansas, where Roger tells her he wants to go to Kentucky, because Hadley is there because he wants to talk to her. They then go to Wichita, where they meet up at the golf course with Roger´s college friend Drew and she meets Drews friend and when she gets alone with him on the track, because she forgot her shoes she admits her dad died.

Then when they find a hotel to sleep in she calls her mom in the morning and admits that they aren´t on the planned trip and when they have to pay with her credit card it is declined and they gather the money they have and both Roger and her wants to keep going. When they get to Louisville, Kentucky - where Hadley lives, Hadley isn´t there eventhough Roger talked to her houts ago. They meet her brother Lucien, who Amy invites to Dinner and he offeres them to stay in their guest house on the estate.

That night after Roger has went to bed, she goes outside and Lucien comes in the jeep he drives around on the estate and he shows her garden sculptures he makes. After a conversation where she kind of tells him about her family, she takes a chance and drives the jeep for a minute. then the next morning Roger talks to Hadley and he tells Hadley when they drive away that he found out that it has been over between them for awhile.

She admits that he father loved Elvis and that they where suppose to go to Graceland Elvis´s hometown this summer, so they go there. After on the way out of there she admits that her brother is in rehab and that she wants to go to North Carolina to see him. The next day she visit her brother, but has to go through a window into some girls room and when she mention she is Charlie´s sister, they know who she is because they have group and Charlie talks about her. She talk to Charlie and his roommate ask her to deliver a letter in a Dairy Queen in Richmond.

Then outside with Roger in the car, she can´t hold it back any longer and tells him how her dad died in the accident and how they where goig to find Charlie who was out in some shit because of drugs, and that she was driving when a car hit them. He tells her it wasn´t his fault and that he has never lied to her and she starts crying. At the Dairy Queen they get some ice cream and suddenly she wants to kiss Roger and she does it and he kiss her back and admits that he has been waiting for the kiss.

In Maryland they stop for a hotel because it is raining really much and they dress up and goes to dinner and later have sex. Then the next day she decides to drive and after some time it is fine. She tells him it is better for him if she just drives him to Phily and then she can drive back herself and after some time he agrees. In Phily she drops him of and they decide to just find out what will happen to them and that he will call her later. She calls her mom ones crossing the state line in Connecticut and get the adrees and her mom is stunned she is driving.


This wasn´t just a road trip on the road it was also an emotional one for amy, who finds her way back to herself, by meeting new people and places and meeting strangers where she tells them stuff and they are friendly and she works with herself, standing up to her mother, talking with her brother and going to a trip to Graceland, she never wanted to do without her father. I really like books that has road trips in it, and i really want to do it one day myself, just get out a drive without knowing where and just feeling free and have no worries. There actually isn´t much happening in the book, but you keep reading, because you want to find out what happened to Amy and her family and what blame she had in it.

I loved everytime they used the name Hillary and Edmund, i just laughed every time. I like that it is the little things like the sunglasses that she don´t want, that has a big point in the story, because her own got smashed in the crash. A thing i also like where the pictures, travelnotes and receivings. Because you feel like you is in the story more and that the author really took time to make the book and that she did the specific road trip herself. The cover is also really good for the book and the fact that the person´s on it holding hand in hand going into something different for each of them, but coming out together on the road.

32 years old Kelsey and Evan has been friends since college and she has always had a crush on him, until she met and married Evan best friend Todd. Only 6 months ago her husband left her for Evan´s fiancée and she was crushed and still am about it. She has starting to talk more and more with Evan again and now her crush is coming back up. So 2 weeks before Evan´s was, to-be wedding, he invite Kelsey with him on the suppose to-be honeymoon for him and Courney to Hawaii, because he can´t get the money back, and after some consideration and some convincing from her best friend Lisa she says yes. Friday 2 days before they leave he invites her over for dinner and she gets really drunk and admits to him that she always liked him and she is really horny and ask Evan to do some things to her and he finally gived in and she doesn´t remember it the morning after.

Soon they go on the trip and have sex, but the trip ends short when Sandra, Todd´s mom calls and tells her that Todd has been in a car accident and that they isn´t sure he is going to make it. They need to get home, eventhough neighter of them really wants to see him but they doesn´t wish him eveil. At the hospital when she mention to Sandra that her and Evan are only friends, Evan gets mad. Soon she has to get over her pain Todd caused her and she tells Evan how she loved him in college by showing him her old journal and he admit that the night he introduced her to Todd 8 years ago he was going to admit that she was the one for him, because for him she was always wife material, he was just scared and not ready to settle. He pratually proposes to her right there at his office where they are and a year after they are getting married in Hawaii and she is 3 months pregnant.

A little boring, not much going on but it liked Lisa. I liked Brian´s story better there was alittle more going on.

Celeste Tippen lives in Palm Spring and goes to Longbrook High School. Her parents owns one of the most luxurious, exclusive resorts in Palm Springs - Pinyon Ranch, but it isn´t a enormous place. Her best friend is Devon Wright and her boyfriend for a year now is a senior Travis Helding, who is about to gratuate today. Celeste is kinf of sad because like every year she is working at the resort and Travis will be 2 hours away at a job teaching surfing an the when the summer ends Travis is going to college in Arizona. But she is lucky because Devon has gotten a job at Pinyon’s guest relations rep, so she isn´t going to be totally alone. Now her and Devon are at the graduation, but she can´t see Travis on stage, but suddenly a golf cart from her parents resort comes driving up on stage, with 5 guys in it and one of them is Travis. They are wearing monster head and bathrobs, whichs they take of and then they do a dance in only thongs. It is the senior prank, but the teachers are not happy, eventhough the audience is cheering. Then they ca hear police sirings and the guys takes the cart, but they crash and all but Travis gets out of there as the police comes and he gets arrested. Before the police officer takes Travis with him, Travis ask her to come to the station. She is very nervous and when se gets to the police station and into the room she sees 2 teachers and her mom and dad. Her dad has never really liked Travis and her dad doesn´t look happy. Then a police officer comes in and they talk and as the officer ask her dad if he wants to press charges, Celeste tells her dad they got to talk and outside the room she tells him to please not press charges. He says okay and they go back inside and her dad explains he wont press, but that Travis will be working at the resort the next 3 months to pay them back. Celeste is happy, but Travis doesn´t seem so happy when they walk out of there, but he tells her he just have to get use to it thats all. Later Travis drops her and devon of at the resort where Celeste lives and while Travis and Celeste kiss, Devon goes to her parents’ bungalow. When Celeste get there her parents are a sleep so they are carefull walking to her room where they colaps on the bed, and Celeste finds the usual note with instrutions for her and Devon, the next day Monday, June 20.

But under Celeste things there is preping for the Sanders family´s arrival, so she wakes up Devon. Devon ask her what is wrong and Celeste tells her the obnoxious Nick Saunders and his family who is here every year is coming. Nick´s family is from LA and his dad is like a big-time movie producer, and Nick always bugs Celeste about wanting that, and that, and that. Devon tells her she remembers, and ask if they didn´t have a fling last summer and Celeste admits that they have always been flirting, but that last year they hooked up a lot of times. She also admits that Travis doesn´t know, but that they agreed to hook up with other people the 3 months of summer last year, when they had just started dating. Devon ask if he was into her, but Celeste tells her Nick is just bored being here and then Celeste was there so. The next morning they are waken up by her mom at 9:45 and celeste goes to ahve breakfast with her parents while Devon goes out to her work. At breakfast her father tells her that the Saunders will arrive in a half hour and that he expects her to make them comfortable so they will come back, because they are their #1 costumer. Then at 10:30 she is standing at the lobby waiting for the Saunders and when she first see Nick coming out of the car she remembers how hot he is. The come in and greet each other like long lost friends and when Nick comes over beside his mom she ask him if Celeste isn´t lovely. He says yes and takes Celeste into a big hug and whispers in her ear that she is hot not lovely and just then Travis walks inside with a mad look on his face. Quickly Travis disappears and Nick ask her if it was her boyfriend, but she ignores him as she follows the Saunders down to there house where she on the way tal to Mr Saunders about school. Inside the house Nick parents disappear and he grabs her arm when she is about to leave and tells her he was thinking about them last summer just now, but Celeste tells him there will be no flirting because she has a boyfriend. Then he ask her to bring him a sandwich and when she tells him it is the roomservice´s job, he tells her the reason they keep coming here is for the personal attention and that he will just tell roomservice that she should bring it too him. She walks out and ask a guy named Dave, where Travis is and a little while later she is at the golf lanes and she tells Travis that nothing is going on between her and Nick. He then tells her he will kinap her for lunch and he carries her until they bumb into Dave, who tells them that there is a meeting for all qorkers tonight and that there is a specific roomservice request for Celeste. At the meeting that night the Saunders is there and her dad announces that Mr Saunders will be holding a film festival here this summer. When they are done she sees Nick making their way to her and she tries to get Travis and her away but to late. Of course Nick doesn´t even look at Travis when she introduces him, and Nick instantly starts flirting with Celeste and tells her he is happy she is here for the festival, because he want her to help her plan his screening party for the festival. Celeste ask him WTH he is talking about and he tells that he took a course at UCLA last winter and that the final project was to make a film all by yourself and that his father has told him he could throw the party at the fastival, but that he has to do the planning himself and that he need help - her help. Then he walk away and Travis lungs for him, but Celeste stops him and her and Travis goes to her secret spot: a pace where you go through a lot of bushes and then comes to a circle with sand surounded by palm trees and they kiss, but he also ask her if she is sure nothing has ever been going on between Nick and her and she tells him jo and that they problably wont see Nick all summer, because Devon is on a job where she should be the one planning with Nick.

Celeste is with Travis the next day taking a break when Rick tells her over the radio that a person in the Saunders house wants her to come with some few things and but luckily Travis doesn´t hear. Together they go to the pool and soon Nick starts calling her and Travis ask her why she doesn´t take it. Of course it is Nick calling her Baby and she pretends to talk to another customer. They get to the pool where Travis has to start weedwhack and Celeste grabs the things and heads for the Saunders house, but suddenly Travis is there so she has to hide until he goes away. She finds Nick in the Saunders personal pool and he instantly starts flirting and moving closer to her sudgesting Strip Scrabble and swimming without bathing suits. She walks out and Devon calls her and she yells at Devon, because she think she is Nick. Then Devon tells her that her dad is looking for Travis, who she knows is lying by a tree and sleeping. Celeste hurries and finds and wake up Travis, before her father shows up. She then walks with her father back to the main building and he tells her that he may have been a little hard on Travis this year, but that the summer aint over. She then hurries back to Travis and ask him to meet her at the pool tonight at midnight for some late swimming. That night when Celeste comes to the pool, Travis is in a crappy mood and after swimming for a while he tells her that the job where he was suppose to work as surf instructor are all meeting the biggest surfer on the West Coast, and that he is missing it because he is stuck here. She can´t get over that he has got to man up, because it was after all his own damn fault and she is here ao he should be glad.

A few days later Celeste is sitting at the main office doing some work alone, because the computer system has gone down so most people has some time of until they get it up and running. Then someone comes in and she is sure it is Travis so she puts her arms around him and say hi Baby, but when she turns around it is Nick and she spills coffee al over her work, but Nick takes of his shirt and uses it as a napkin. Then he sits down and tells her that he came here to do some work and Celeste tells him she will text Devon, so she text and SOS meesage and Devonsays she is on her way, but that Travis can´t come. Nick then ask her what her deal is, why she work here every summer and she tells him that her dad is into family work so she just do it. And she almost tells him about a writting program she wanted to go on this summer, but stops and then Devon comes, who can walk around in her own clothe at work and she can see Nick´s mouth hanging open and is thankfull that she has found someone that can entertain Nick. The next few weeks Celeste sees Nick and Devon everywhere laughing and planning and one day Celeste is by the pool dying of heat when Devon comes with a coke for her and she thanks Devon for keeping Nick bussy and she tells Celeste she can´t understand why her and Nick ain´t together when he is so hot and Celeste tells her that it was just a summer thing. They then make plans to go to the staff party the next night in the middle of the desert. the next night her, Devon and Travis drives to the party and suddenly Travis becomes mad because Nick is strooling toward the party. Celeste gets mad and walks to him, but before she can say anything Devon wraps her arms around Nick and Celeste finds out Devon ask him to come. Her and Travis sits down and Devon and Nick another place and drink beers until Devon comes over and grabs Celeste´s hand and drags her to one of the pool/spa things that is in the ground with hot water and Travis and Nick comes too and they have a chicken fight. After Travis takes her in his arms and runs to his car but he bumbs Celeste´s head into a car and drops her on a rock and celeste goes back to the fire. Travis apologize and then Nick and Devon comes over and sits down. Devon is trashed and whispers something in Nick´s ear and he first say no then yes and they disappear in the dark and suddenly Celeste doesn´t feel that good.

A couple of days later Celeste is by the pool arranging the towel station, when Nick comes and sit in a chair besides her and she ask about the party and he tells her that they don´t have a theme yet. Then when he ask her to give him a waterbottle he says what about a water theme and she says it is a good idea and comes up with some things. Soon Nick grabs her around the waist and dances around with her, but suddenly Travis is there and he hits Nick in the jaw. Then they start fighting and then Celeste´s dad shows up and the boys falls in the pool and all of the people by the pool are looking and her dad tells them he wants to see her and Travis at his office. Nick says goodbye to Celeste and walks out and Celeste becomes mad at Travis and tells him that they were talking about the party and not flirting and that he could trust her a little more. At the office her dad tells Travis that thaat was #2 and that he only has 3 before he is going to pay for the golf cart himself a cart that cost´s much more than what he would earn her this summer. When they walk out she takes him to the side and tells him that this is about keeping customers happy like her dad said and that he can´t go around hitting the most important customers and that it is her job to listen to Nick and that they both know he wasn´t defending her honor but pissing his territory, and that she can defend herself. he says sorry and tells her he will behave, but she has a feeling that the Travis-Nick saga is not over.

One of the days after Devon comes to her room early morning and tells her she has gotten a letter from Thistlebottom School Summer Thespian Program in Aberdeen, Scotland, where she was on the waiting list this summer and that she has just gotten #1 and that they want her there by thursday - today thursday. Devon then tells her she has booked a flight for tommorow morning. Celeste is sad that Devon is leaving, but she tells Devon not to feel guilty and Devon tells her that she will be in charge of Nick´s party planning now. After taking a shower she heads for Nick´s house to tell him about their deal and doesn´t notice anything until she goes into her dad, who tells her they have to talk at his office. At the office he tells her that she has got to take over Nick´s party and make it extra perfect, because of the whole Travis mess. And her dad tells her that big people will be coming like Miramax and Searchlight. And Celeste promis her dad that she will make the party the spotlight. She then goes to Nick and walks in without knocking and finds him in the kitchen in nothing but gym shorts and she tells him about Devon and he doesn´t seem concerned just changes the subject to if she wants breakfast in town because he has only been here all summer and then he disappears to take on a shirt. He then comes back and Nick is out the door to the car before he can tell him she need to check with her dad, eventhough she is not working until noon. She gets in the car and they drives to a diner Celeste knows and he isn´t flirting with her just being friendly. At the diner he tells her that he knows they got to take it seriously if he wants his movie to be picked and he tells that after his movie was due, he spent the rest of the year making it better. Celeste then blows out she likes to write eventhough she tries to ignore him asking, but at last she tells him she worked on a story in english all year and he ask to red it and she tells him no, because people has never read anything of hers. Then they start talking about the party and the theme is still water, and on the way home Nick tells her they can get inspiration for water in the desert theme by watching Lawrence of Arabia tonight. When she doesn´t answer Nick tells her it is totally business and she tells him she will be there 21:30.

That night she comes to Nick´s house and he doesn´t flirt again eighter. Then when they are an hour into the movie her phone rings and she goes to the bathroom to call back Travis, who tells her he is at the golf lane and she tells him that her and Devon are at a private concert with Paul Simon´s in Palm Spring and tells hi she has got to go. She then passes Nick´s room and sees a new laptop that she has been looking at too and Nick comes up behind her and tells her he actually worked in a store to get it. He then ask if she is hungry and they goes to the kitchen. He makes them sandwich and they go back to the movie and Celeste is beginning to think that this seems like a date.
A couple of days after Celeste is on the way to a concert with a band for Nick´s party. The band wouldn´t come to the resort for an audition so they have to come to one of their concerts. So her dad told her that Travis could take her in a truck and that on the way home Travis would pick some things up. Meanwhile Celeste would get a ride home with Nick after the concert only, because she didn´t want to explain the whole thing with her going with Nick, but as Travis whines in the car she is starting to think that it would have been a better idea to go with Nick up there too. Then she gets there and Nick is there already she makes a grand intrance because the door made a hugh sound and the band waits on her to sit down in the bar thing. Then when they start to sing, Nick whispers they are singing about her because the name Celeste comes up more than ones and she ask him how he knows her name. He tells her he doesn´t remember giving names, but that it is a sign that they should be the band anyway and they make their way to the stage. The band memebers is totally ignoring them and Nick shouts hey and the lead singer Sloan turns and Nick tells him that they were good and that he would like to book them, but Sloan tells him that they don´t do sweet 16´s. Celeste wants to get out of there, but Nick grabs her arm, drags her back to stage and tells Sloan that this is a film festival and a big deal and a lot of people is coming, more than the people coming in this bar. Celeste is suprised that Nick has such balls and at the same time is so polite, eventhough Sloan is a total jerk. When Nick tells him they will give them more money, Sloan agrees and when they walk outside Celeste gives Nick a hug and say he is awesome, before remembring what she is doing. She then tells him that they have a budget and he tells her that they get 150 here for playing so it is within the budget to give them 300. They get into the car and she ask him if he knows the way back because she doesn´t and he tells her he will just follow the way he came. But suddenly they are lost and the signs have shifted to spanish. They see a park with a lake and decide to stop for a break. They go to the water and takes off their shoes and go out in the water and soon Nick is caring her father out and suddenly Nick falls into the water when they are running. They lay down in the grass so Nick can dry and he then ask why her and Travis are together, because he doens´t think that Travis is that bright and he wouldn´t put the 2 of them together. Celeste gets mad and tells him that all he ever does is playing with girl, lying around and having his dad´s money. She tells him she wants to leave and when they get to the resort, Nick stops her and tells her sorry and that it was none of his business and she apologize too.

The next day she uses the day working with Travis outside some of the new guesthouse, long away from the main building. The sun is hot so eventhough they are not suppose to she says yes when Travis ask her to go inside on of the houses because there is aircondition. They kiss and cool off and Travis ask her if she wants to do something tonight but she tells him she has a meeting with Nick but that he can come. She also mention coming up to his college is the fall break and he seems weird when she mentions it. That night they go to meet Nick in the dining room but Nick doesn´t look happy when he sees that Travis is with her. There are a lot of tension between the boys and suddenly Travis announces he is going out to the desert where the pools are with some guys and Celeste tells him that it is only for workers here but he just tells her that it is a public place. Before he goes of he gives Celeste a big tongue kiss right in front of Nick and walks of. She ask Nick about his film and he seems embarreds when he tells her it is only a 20 minutes movie and she tells him that there is nothing wrong with that and not all movie has to be the hollywood type. She ask him about the film and he tells her he has it with her on his laptop eventhough he seem embarreds again. They see the movie and she really liked it and she tells him that. She is lost in words and Nick tells her that she problably didn´t expect him to make such a movie and she tells him that she hadn´t expeted it from an annoying, spoiled kid who keeps flirting with her and he tells her she just brings it up in him. They go to get something to eat chocolate suffle in the kitchen and she tastes it from Nick´s fingers and quickly says the got to get back to work. By 3 in the night they are totally tired. They walk side by side to the main building and stands in the moonlight for a while and it is like they have a moment, but Celeste quick tells him goodbye and goes to bed where she tries to get the felling away that she wanted to kiss him and that he wanted it too.

A few days before the guest for the festival is about to arrive she talks to Devon while she is suppervision at the pool where a tent is being set. Her father also comes over and she tells him that it is going to be perfect etc. And her father says he is proud of her.
At the day of the opening of the Palm Springs Film Festival, Celeste is way nervous and she talks to Nick on the phone as she gets dressed in a beautiful designer dress she found in a vintage store. Later she is in the lobby with her parents and the Saunders saying hallo to the guests, when she sees Travis and his 5 friends getting out on a car and Celeste gets mad because they were suppose to be on the beach. She goes out and drags Travis to the side and ask him WTH they are doing here and he tells her a little drunk as he is that he thought she needed a little protection from Nick and that they are going to hang out by the golf track and Celeste tells him they better not come near the festival. Then she goes back and announce it is time to move next door for the cocktail party. Everything is going great until her father takes her to the side and ask her what They are doing here: and as Celeste looks at the door Travis and his buddies are coming in, not sober. She tells her dad she will take care of it and goes over to Travis and tells him to take his friends´and get out, then she goes over to the bar and Nick comes up behind her and she tells him what is going on and he tells her he will try to go deal with it. Her mom then comes up and tells her to go tjeck something in the kitchen and suddenlyshe hears a noise from next door and goes inside and find Mila Rotterdam: an important producer, who is allergic to pepper - With a swollen-faced because of pepper in her food, Telling that it is a scandal and that she has never been so badly served before and that she did this as a favor to the Saunders but she will never be coming back. Celeste runs after Mila as she storms out and tries to stop her by telling her she will have a free stay. By then her car comes and Celeste pretends that her ring and finger is stuck in the door and she tell Mila that The Times said that her and her husband would never come here because it was a new and hip festival, because Mila and her husband is old school. She then tells her that is why they were so glad they were coming because they knew they weren’t dinosaurs Like The Times said and that they knew that her and her husband had the sight for a new festival. then slowly Mila comes out the car and goes inside and when Celeste is on the way back Travis and his friends comes out and she ask him if he did something with the pepper and he says no and then she tells them to get the hell out of here and then théy just says they are going to go to the golf lane. Later she is outside checking the stage, the pool, the tent and she sees Nick by the bar. He shows her everything, but she can´t stop thinking about him and they almost kiss, but then the guest comes and their parents comes over to them to say that it is really good and they had their doubts but now doesn´t have any, and then they go to mingle. Celeste takes Nick´s arm and is about to take him to get soem cake, when Travis is suddenly choking Nick and then they start a struggle and they attrack attention and rolls over to the screen and it falls ontop off them. Her father steps out and tells the crowd with a smil on his face that they arrange that as entertainment and the people go back to what they were doing. Celeste can see that her dad is mad and her father calls the 3 of them, her mom and Saunders and they go to the office. Her father tells Travis that he gave him a chance and that he screwed it up big time and that he can go now. Then he turns to Celeste and tells her that he trusted her when he made Travis an employer and that he didn´t fire him after the first fight. Her father almost tells her he holds her full resposible, when Nick speaks up and tells them that with a wicked grin on his face that he was the one who put pepper in Mila´s food, because she deserved it and was being fucking annoying and he then tells that the fight happened because he gave Travis and his friends some vodka but that they obviously couldn´t handle it. Celeste becomes mad at Nick for not giving a shit for the festival from the begginning and His dad tells him to go home and that the screening is cancelled. Celeste takes Travis and takes him to her house were he falls asleep on her bed and she goes to take a bath and thinks about how Nick has betrayed her.

The day after the festival’s closing party she wakes up and becomes ready to go to the airport to pick up Devon. But outside she bumb´s into Nick, who look like crap and hhe tells her his parents is sending him back to LA and she just says goo and he looks hurt and she goes away. Devon ask how the fatival went when she sits in the car and Celeste tells her what happened and tells Devon she was an idiot to think he cared about anything than himself. Devon is very quite and Celeste ask her what is going on and Devon tells her that she is suprise Nick would do it because he has been crushing on Celeste all summer and that all he ever talked about was Celeste. She ask Devon if she wants to go to a barbeque at Kevin´s, Travis friend and she says yes. At the party some of Travis friends comes by and they tell Devon that their summer has been borring, but that the party was cool and tells that it was weird that the Nick guy took the blame for the pepper thing. Celeste shoots up from her chair and faces Travis and id so mad, but then Devon takes her and drags her inside and Celeste can´t understand why Nick would take the blame. Devon tells her that Nick took it because he knew that her dad would blame it on her. Then Devon tells her she will help her go out and gives Travis a piece of their minds, but Celeste tells her she has to call Nick, but Devon tells her to go find him, but Celeste tells her she can´t drive to LA when it is 19 and that she has to go with Travis to his college tommorow. But then no she isn´t going with Travis tommorow and she tells Devon she is going to LA.

She then goes back to the resort and finds Nick´s adress and on her way out Travis is there and she gives him a piece of her mind and tells him they are over. She drives to LA and when she gets to Nick´s mansion she sees a car coming into the driveway and it is Nick so she hurries out her car and to the front door and tells Nick that she knows he didn´t do it and that she is sorry, for thinking he was just trying to get between her and Travis. He tells her that he couldn´t stand to see the jerk getting her into trouble and she tells him sorry for her idiotic Ex-Boyfriend. He is surprised and tells her they can go somewhere, but seeing it is late he tells her tommorow and he kisses her and she tells him she think he has gotten better and he tells her he has been practicing, waiting for her and they stand for a long time on the porch kissing.

This was a cute teen summer romance story and i really liked it and i really liked Nick and Celeste´d relationship. OMG what a stupid kid him Travis are, to me he was just a total slacker that doesn´t have a brain. I really liked Nick he was smart and he made the book funny with the things he did. He proves that you can do things and still be a rich kid and that you shouldn´t always blame the person, who made trouble before because a person can change and that is what Nick did. Then there is Celeste, is it just me or is she completly stupid?? You could see from the beginning what a idiot Travis was and that he obviously doesn´t care about her, and she just keeps being with him. Even at the big event when he is drunk and fair enough Nick takes the blame but she should have seen that it was Travis fault and that he was the idiot from the beginning. Like other books by this author i really liked the book.

Eighteen-year-old Farrah Jane Morris goes on the Colorado University and is reporter and member of the club cross-country team there, and one day she want to be a reporter at ESPN - The sports network. She is about to take her final exam of the first semester of her freshman year, before she gets vacation. In less than 2 weeks her brother and best friend 22 years old Jonah is getting married to Marni Shay at the River Lodge, whos father is Brendan Shay, the most successful preppy clothing designer of the last decade. So the wedding is going to be way big and a lot of famous people will be there. And Farrah is going to be the best man at the wedding. Then as she is on her way to her last final, lost in thoughts someone screams for her to watch out but she doesn´t. Suddenly a boy is laying on the ground bleeding from his knee and it is Connor Davy - A.K.A Hot Connor, who is in her English Literature class and she has had a crush on him from day one. She doesn´t really now what to say eventhough she has always wanted to talk to him, but she manage to say some things and then he is of for vacation. Later she talks to her friend Dana about not liking Marni because of the whole rich/beauti thing and Dana ask her if she is sure she is not just scared of losing her best friend, as they make their way in the emtpy halls to the parking lot where to their suprise a limo and a driver is waiting with a nametag of Jane´s name and the driver who can see it is her from the discripton her brother made, tells her he is here to take her to River Lodge. And as Jane sits in the limo she is afraid that Jane Morris, who is a good friend, confident, speaks her mind, doesn´t wear make-up/dresses and a hard worker - is going to turn into Farrah Morris who is so not those things especially not infront of her family and the upper social class knows as the Shay family and friends. The place is hugh and beautifull and Jane hasn´t gotton out of the car before she falls and the doorman has to help her. Then her mother comes, of course calling her Farrah and talk about how she feels invisible and that Jane needs a haircut, so predictable. Then her twin half-brothers, Hunter and Ben, comes to greed her and starts tugging her inside and before the driver goes he wish her good luck. If only she knew how much she needs is being here for 2 weeks with her crazy family and the Shay clan.

Later she is in her room with the whole family. Her mother is criticizing her clothe, her half brothers are running around screaming and their father, her step dad, since her mother married him when she was 12, 2 years after her father died of cancer, is watching a footgame and tells her mom to let Jane be. Then thank god Jonah comes in and saves her and tells her they have to come down for dinner in a minute, but her mom says Jane has to change, but Jonah - as always - tells their mom she looks gorgeous. Later they are with Marni´s parents at dinner and Marni has talked non stop for the last 15 minutes as they have been waiting for Marni´s sister 'Biff' Buffy and Marni and Jonah assures her that she is going to love her as just a girl for Jane. Then Buffy comes a girl with nose ring and an attitude that Farrah likes. Later her and Buffy is in Farrah´s room talking and when Buffy tells her she is a babe, Farrah tells her that nobody like a girl, with red curly hair, frecles, no boobs and is more confortable being boyish that girlish. And she tells Buffy that the only guy she has ever kissed was a boy named Tommy McNabbs that went to her school who every girl liked, but he wasn´t cool with the way Farrah was. And the bad thing is that her parents is good friends with the McNabbs, and they will be coming to the wedding and they always ask when farrah and Tommy are going to be together. They are both hungry so they decide to go down to and find some foot, eventhough it is 1 in the night and Farrah doesn´t think it is a good idea going down to the kitchen were they ate dinner. When they get down to the kitchen they find a cake and starts to eat until they hear someone coming and hides, but Farrah hurts her knee and they make some noise so the guy from the staff searches for them and to Farrah suprise it is Connor and he is suprised that Jane is there and Biff can´t understand he calls her Jane. Then they tell him they are here for the wedding, he seems mad, so Biff and her saves it by saying they are nanny´s for the Janssen family. Connor seems relieved and tells them than then they know how they are: snobs, who isn´t satisfide with anything and when they takes something it gets blammed on the staff and he tells them that there are this women on one of the cottages far away that has send him back for the 3 time now, because she doesn´t like the way her ice cubes were formed. And Biff mouths to Farrah that it is her mom. Connor then ask why they are in the kitchen because he isn´t bying they got lost and they show him the cake and he tells them is okay, because it will get thrown out in the morning.

The next morning they are at Marni´s bridesmaids’ brunch, with all of her super snob friends, where Marni gets a lot on lingirie that makes Farrah gag of just thinking about it. When the present are opened Marni comes over to her and says sorry for the present and ask her how the bachelor party is coming along and Farrah panics, because no one told her that she was suppose to make one. Farrah starts to panic and Marni notice it, but Biff saves her and tells Marni that of course she has made one Marni just can´t know about it. Marni is totally relieve and tells them that Jonah has been talking about it for weeks. Connor also comes inside with the cake and looks confudes that they are there, but smiles. After when all of the snob takes a shuttle bus down the mountain, instead of the chairlifts that Farrah and Biff has taken up there and that takes half the time - Biff goes to the phonebook looking for strippers and Connor walks into the room and Farrah tells them they are pretty close with their employes so Marni asked them to come and Connor invites them to a party the day after and they say yes and Biff tells her after that they better start spending some time with her little brothers or Connor is going to find out.
Later that day Farrah is snowtubing with Ben and Hunter - A.K.A Twin Terrors and Connor comes by and tells her he just got of and he would like to hang with them. he ask were Biff is and she tells him she got a small cold. She says okay and when he goes back to clock of she tells her brothers to call her Jane instead of Farrah for the rest of the day as a game, and that the prize is that thay can snowtub for an hour more. Later after the snowtubing the 3 guys have been making snow balls and then Connor tells the boys that he and Jane will hide and they will throw snowballs at them. Connor takes her hand and they run for the woods, where Farrah tells him that the boys have been trained in thowing since they were born and that they never grow tired, but he tells her that they have to run back everytime to get new snowballs so they will.

The day after at night they go to the party out in the woods. Most of them there is boys but there are also some girls. 2 of them comes over to Jane and starts criticizing her for being a snob one and telling her that she can´t just hook up with Connor because he is not that kind of guy, but Connor tells tham that Jane is here to work too, that they go to school together and that if they hooked up it would be for more time than this here. When the girls go clearly shocked he almost kiss her but a guy named Paul who Biff went with before throws a snowball at Connor, and Biff tells her that he is totally Farrah´s now, but Farrah starts thinking WTH she has gotten herself into. 10 minutes after her and Biff are behind a stone and the snowball fight is still going on. Out of nowhere Connor comes to save her and Biff tells them she will cover them and they make a run for it. They talk for a while until some of the guys catches up with them and they make a run for it again down the hill behind a wall to a hidding place he knows and they stand completly close like hugging each other and when the noise fades he kisses her.
The next day Farrah is out skiing with Jonah and she tells him about Connor and sometimes in the middle of the day they go to get something to eat and whil Jonah goes away with the skies, Farrah sees Connor flirting with a beautiful girl and when Farrah turns around and sees herself in the window she suddenly feel as unfeminine like her mother says she is. She then decides to do a makeover and goes to find her mother in the spa and tells her mom she wants her to help her with a makeover and her mother is beyond happy. So she gets a spa treatment and go shop and Farrah actually does think it is so bad. That night after dinner she runs into Connor in the elevator and he ask her out tommorow and she says yes.

The next night Farrah has a skirt, blouse and make-up on, but when Connor comes to her door his face falls and he laugh and tells her she can´t wear that to were they are going so she goes to change clothe and takes off the make-up. After they are out on a snowmobile and he takes her to a clearing where you can see the whole resort and she tells him that he problably takes all the girls up here and his face kind of falls again and she tells him to just forget it. Connor then tells her he doesn´t date the girl who comes to the resort much and that he isn´t that kind of guy. he takes her back down and she tells him that she is tired, but he tells her he was going to take her to get the best burger and when her stomach makes a sound he hears she say okay and on the way over there they get to talk and the awkwardness disappears. Then at the resturant when the subject of the resort is brought up, Connor mentions the bachelor party for the wedding that she has totally forgotten about and she ask him if he has been to some, because she is doing a paper on the male species. And he tells her that it should just be gys being guys and that it is a little stupid with strippers when the brides dad is there. Then he says that he can´t imagine what this guy is going to do, with all the money he has got and Farrah tells him that they isn´t rich like that, but he tells her that since the family has 2 nanies they much be rich.

The next day her mother takes her out to get a haircut and the whole time her mother talk about the fact that she should have a date for the wedding and even talk about flying one in and farrah gets way upset and yells at her mom, so a few of the other clients turn in their sets. Farrah tells her mom that she will do nothing and then the haircutter lady, who has given Farrah symphatectic smills through the haircut, turns on the hair blower she promised Farrah she would do. The next day is december 25 christmas morning the all go for The Shays cottage to open presents and enjoy the morning. When it is time for Farrah to open the present for her mom, she tries to put on a happy face because every year her mom gets her horrible girly gift, but to her suprise it is a bag she looked at the other day. Her mom then explains that she and Marni where out shopping and that Marni thought it was a good idea to buy it. And Farrah becomes even more glad when Marni and Jonah gives her a laptop and as she and Jonah watches Marni she sees that Marni waits for everyone to open their present and gets a happy glow to her face when people likes what they get and she can see her brother admiring it. That night they have been to a big Christmas banquet in
the main ballroom at the resort and her and Biff falls onto the bed immidiatly and she tjecks her phone but Connor still hasn´t called so Biff tells her to call him and just as she is about to do it, someone is at the door and it is Connor with a gift. The go down to the porch by the lobby and she opens the present which is a leader book and she tells him she has actually been thinking about starting a journal again, so it is a perfect gift. He then admits that he has wanted to ask her out all semester, but that he thought she thought he was a doofus, and she is totally blown away and he tells her he likes the way she isn´t like other girls and she admits that she wanted him to ask her out. He then leans in to kiss her and she spots her brother and Marni and Honah sees her and look confused because she didn´t tell him that Connor also worked here and that this is Connor. So they have to hurry away so she drags Connor to the bathrooms.

The day after she meets with Emily the party planner and she tells her, her ideas about what her brother would like and feels really good after. Then on the way back she meets Biff who tells her Jonah and Marni is on the prowl for her, and that Marni wants him to be Farrah plus one. She ask Biff what she told them and she tells her that she said they must have been high on love or something. They make a deal to meet at the slopes after and when she is almost at her room Connor sticks his head out from another room and wants to show her something. The room he is in is fulded with clothe, make-up and shoes all over the place and Connor is here to take away the minibar and he explains that it is one of the bridemaids room and when he tells her how she looks like she knows it is Carina, who is trying to be like Calista a former actress and paparazzi magnet. Connor takes up a cream and ask WTH that is, but then he say she problably doesn´t know and she feels like he has just slaped her so she tells him she has to go and he looks confused. Later when she gets back from skiing with Biff she finds an invitation to secret meeting of the bridesmaids that night at Jenna´s, and Biff drags her with her but when it get there it turns out to be a bachelorette party and Biff tells her to run but the girl have already opened the door and Biff ask why the hell they are trowing one when she is the maid of honor, and they tells her they knew she wouldn´t do it. Biff tells her to hurry away but then Marni comes and tells her she really wants her sister in law to be here and she ten ask her about the boy from last night, but she avoids the subject and soon Marni is drunk. Later she is actually having a really good time, eventhough all the things here are made of penises and she talk to Carina that tells her she has been using inserts in her bra lately and of course Farrah knows that and Carina tells her that she has been thinking about implant and Farrah tells her she is beautiful and that she shouldn´t try and make herself more like Calista, because Calista is mean and such things. Carina then tells her that her parents love Calista and that they have alway tried to make her more like her. And now it totally makes sense why Carina is trying so hard to lok and act like Calista. Then she takes Carina with her over to the karaoke and they sing their brains out.

The next morning Biff has a hugh hangover and they are sitting doing a list for the bachelor party and the boys are playing a game when Connor comes by and tells about tat girls room. Then the doorman shows up and tells her that her mother is waiting in the salon with the other bridemaids and she plays dumb and says that her mother isn´t here and Connor tells him that Farrah is the nanny and Farrah makes eye contact with the doorman and he tells her he must have been wrong. Then Connor says that it was funny him thinking she was one of those girls and something snaps inside Farrah and she tells him WTH he means and tells her she isn´t one of those and she tells him that she isn´t one of those girls who are actually girls and tells the boys they are leaving and then the 3 of them walks out of there. That night at 1 she is woken up by someone at the door and it turn out to be Connor with flower. He tells her he just got of work and that he is sorry and that he called her sister and explained things and that his sister hung up on him. But called back to tell him that he had insulted her female-hood and he tells her that he just ment that she didn´t need it because she is beautiful as she is. Then he tells her he wants to show her something and tells her to change into the outfit that he made her not wear the other day. He then takes her to the big ballroom, where he has move all the tables to the side with black tablecloths and 100´s of candles, but one remains in the middle with dinner and then some music in the background and he ask her to dance. After a while he tells her that it doesn´t matter to him wg´hat she wears because she is a girl to him no matter what.

The next morning as her and Jonah is on her way to get some coffee he ask her about the guy, but they get interupted abot some sound there is in the lobby, that they have just gotten into and Farrah and Jonah both know it is Jonah´s 3 friends and then they see them David Gelb, Nicholas Johnson, and Seth Schwartz. Seth is al over his pda so Nick takes it and soon Jonah joins in and they run away, with Biff on their heels who just showed up and her and David goes to get some coffee and talk bachelor party and she tells him she got it covered and he tells her that no offense but she is a girl and she is happy that people has started to notice. Later that day her and Biff is in her room and she is finally trying on the best man’s dress, who Marni has designed for her and she looks really good, whick she hadn´t expected. Biff ask her to come out and when she see Farrah she tells her she is going to kill her sister. Farrah is not into fasion so she thinks that there is something wrong, but Biff tells her she look amazing but that it is a much better dress than the one her sister has choosen for her. Then suddenly Connor is at the door and her and Biff hurries to get her out of the dress and open up the door and Connor comes in with a whole chocolate cake for them. he then ask farrah if she wants to hang at New Years Eve and Farrah is happy, but suddenly remembers her brothers wedding that night. She says she has to watch the boys and he tells her he ment after anyway because he has to work that night at the wedding. She is panicken but tells him yes and he goes. She tells Biff and they are both silent and she ask her what the hell she is going to do, and Biff has no idea.

The next day her and Emily is in the presidental room where the bachelor party is going to be tonight and all Farrah can think about is Connor. The Biff comes and they talk and tells Farrah she should just come clean because if her and Connor begin dating she is going to do it anyway. That night at the bachelor party all the guys is telling her it is the best ever, and again David tells Jonah that she couldn´t be one of the guy cause she is hot and he makes his way to the big tv´s with games and Farrah and Jonah goes to play a game and bond. Later Farrah is taking Jonah to his room and in the room he tells her he knows that she doesn´t want him to get married because of the fact that Marni is rich and Farrah thinks she is high-maintenance when she is lowmaintenance Jonah tells her and he tells her you just have to Carpe Diem, because suddenly people aren´t there like their dad and farrah knows she has to come clean to Connor. The next morning she wakes uo early to find Connor and tells him the truth, but as she finds him and is about to explain her mother comes and the McNabbs and her mother tells her she has found her a date for her brothers wedding - Tommy McNabbs, and Farrah can see Connor´s face going white. Her mom ask who Connor is and he tells her he is no one and walks away.

Later she is taking on her dress with Biff and telling her what happened and is so sad and Biff is impressed she is still standing. Then when she comes out of the dressingroom everybody is silent because of her beauti and Marni comes over to her and tells her how good that dress is on her and they get some picture taken, eventhough Farrah has a hard time smilling. After it is family photo´s in the lobby and when they are done her mom ash to get a picture of her and Tommy (the jackass) and right when they are possing Connor walks by and disappears. Then suddenly something snaps for Farrah and she tells Tommy loud to get the hell away from her and then she drags her mom over to a corner and Jonah comes over and she tells her how she could do this and then she tells the story about how Tommy has said he couldn´t date her because she practually was a guy. She can see that her mom doesn´t believe her, but Jonah does and he goes over and hits Tommy right in the face. Annd then her mother goes over to his parents and tells them that Tommy can´t come for the wedding. After her mom tells her why she never told her and she tells her mom that she thought she would agree and her mmother tells her that she just didn´t want her to miss out on anything, that she thought her and her brother spent to much time together and that she is beautiful. Then Marni´s mom tells them they have 5 minutes to go and Biff comes up and tells her that Connor is in the bridal room setting up for after the ceremony alone and now is her chance. She goes in there but doesn´t get to explain anything before he is out the door. Then there is the wedding and Farrah is appy for her brother. Then there is the reception where Farrah keeps looking for Connor and she eats and drinks way to much and soon it is speach time. Biff goes first and under her speach Connor comes in and soon it is her turn and she is nervous, but she gets through it going a little of track holding Connor eyes and telling that everyone deserves a second chance. Then when she is done Connor stays and holds her eyes for awhile before going again and the rest of the night she tries to have a happy face on. then it is midnight and she hopes Connor will show up, but he doesn´t and she tells David she can´t kiss him when he comes over.

The next day Jonah and Marni is gone and Biff is on her way to Paris saying Farrah can come with her, but Farrah tells her she can´t because school starts in a few days. They are outside by a limo and a boy comes with 2 boxes with chocolate cake and Biff gives her one of them and tells her she saw Connor when she ordered them and that he looked miserable. She has a last dinner that night with her family before they go too and by night it is her time. She is outside and she tells the doorman she will be on the porch and she is standing there thinking when Connor comes up behind her and she tells him she wasn´t going to lie but that she didn´t thought he would like her by the way he was trashing her family and friends. Connor then says he is sorry and that he shouldn´t have said those things and that he has spent the whole day coming up with a way to apologize. He ask her if she is Farrah or Jane and she tells him she is a little bit of both and he tells her he likes them both. She tells him she loves hi and he tells her he loves her too, Farrah.

A really great and entertaining book. I liked the fact that she was the "Best Man" and i also liked her and her brothers relationship being best friends and all, that the kind of relationship you should have with your brother. I almost after reading this book wish i had an older brother and that we were like Farrah and Jonah.
I really liked Biff to she was fun and a girl with spark. I would actually really like to see the same book, just were Farrah is more wild and enjoying things like Biff. But don´t get me wrong i really liked this book. My only problem was that i didn´t really like Connor and i don´t know why.

17 years old 'Kat' Katrina Spencer has just gratuated from high school and wants to loose her virginity to a guy she knows 22 years old Brock Denton, who is dark, mysterious, bad and rebellious and just have the sex vibe. And ever since she first layed eyes on him, she wanted him. Brock works at her father´s gallery doing errands for him to minimum pay and he started 6 months ago. So now on her gratuation day she drives in her new car up to the swamps were Brock lives with his grandpa and Kat knows the way because she ones was up her with her dad, when Brock´s car broke down, but her dad doesn´t like Brock so much because of the way sex oozeses from him. Brock has a thing with calling her Kitten and when she gets out of her car she sees him sitting in a old car seat by the swampy lake and Kat ask him to give her a gratuation gift. He ask her what she wants and she tells him she wants him and then she lets her dress fall andshe only has some underwear on. She then goes and sits on him telling him to take her virginity, and he tells her no and that he isn´t into virgins. She tries to convince him but he says no eventhough she is naked except for panties and is sitting on top of him. She kisses him but he still says no and when she finally ask if he really doessn´t want her, he says she is out of his league. She is crushed but gets up takes on her dress and goes.

A day before Kat´s birthday Spencer Kat´s dad, called Brock into his office and ask him what has been going on with him and his daughter. Brock tells him nothing and he tells him he overheard his daughter talking to a friend about them having a date tommorow. Brock tells him that it is the first and Spencer tells him he is fired. Brock tells him that he knows that Brock has to pay for his grandfather medical bills because he has cancer and Spencer tells him he has A proposition. Right now his lawyer Walt Zeller is making papers so Spencer will be resposible for the medicalbills if Brock leaves town tommorow and never come back and that no he can´t come back for his grandfathers funeral. Spencer tells him he is doing it because he doesn´t want Kat involved with him. And Brock tells him that he wants his grandfatherto have a big tv and homecooked foot. And they agree on the deal.

A week after she has started her summer job at the gallery nd is about to close down the gallery, when Bock comes out from the back. She is mad at him and she has cried more than ones that week, so she just wants to get out of there, but her purse is in the back. She turns around, goes by him into the office and on the way out he grabs her wrist and says sorry and that he will make it up to her this friday on her birthday. She says she has a party, but that he can pick her up there at 10 and before she leaves she tells him to don´t screw it up and he says he doesn´t make the same mistake twice. At her birthday party that friday, her earlier boyfriend Scott who is hot but a person she doesn´t have any feelings for ask her if she wants to have sex since it is her birthday, but she tells him she is into somebody else and goes to meet Brock. But when he finally shows up after 10 i his car he lock the door and rolls down the window and tells her he has changed his mind and it isn´t going to happen, that he is leaving town right, isn´t coming ´back and that he just came to tell her and then he drives away. Kat loves him, but hate him and go back to the party to go home. But Scott suddenly is there and she tells him that she wants to show him what is under her dress which is nothing and they go off to a private place.

Now 10 years later Kat is working at her dad´s gallery, and in her free time she works on pottery projeck and her dad has just hiving her the chance to show them forward in an opening soon, and in 7 days she is marrying her boyfriend Ian. Right now she should be at her bachelorette party in Vegas, with her friends and BFF Nina, but she decided to skip it and not tell her family only her friends in Vegas, that she was taking a trip for herself to a private island off the Gulf Coast of Florida, that her dad bought last year. Normally kat can be wild, but she just didn´t feel like going at the end. And now she is laying on the beach and Nina calls her to remind her that marrying Ian is a mistake because she doesn´t love him and Kat again tells her that she does. After Kat takes up her top and let herself relax.

Now Brock is a undercover FBI agent and right now he is on a boat with The Morales brothers: Francisco and Carlos who is smugglers. His undercover name is Jimmy and he got in by befriending Carlos. Now Brock is in the hottub on the boat with 2 lady, but suddenly Francisco is sure that he is an FBI agent and he comes up on the deck to ask Brock. Brock of course denies it and Carlos get Francisco to back of. But as he sit in the hottub with the 2 ladies he gets lost in lust and when Francisco says, hey Brock he answers and his cover is blown. The brothers leave him in a room bound up and they disappeared up to the deck, so now Brock has just gotten of the robe. He searches the cabin and finds a key he is sure is to the secret place where the Mayan treasures is and then he jumps of the boat.

Kat has just woken up from a nap and open her eyes to see a man walking in from the ocean, but she is sure she is dreaming, but she isn´t because suddenly he is standing before her and calling her Kitten and when she gets a good look at him she can see that it is Brock Denton. He demands her phone and say it is important and Kat can´get her stupid top on so she just leaves it. When the phone doesnt work he demand a charge and they go back to the beach house with him as bossy as ever. When they get to the house he ask if she has a boat and he tells her that she has to drive him to shore, and he runs to the boat while she is getting dressed in the little clothe she has with her, whick alost is nothing. But when he gets to the boat he sees Carlos and Francisco and their boat near the island and Francisco has a gun, he shoots and Brock pretends to get shot. The brothers get to shore and Brock prays that they wont shoot again, but to his suprise they shoot Kat boat and it blows up. Then Kat comes and he whispers for her to be quiet and when the brothers are out of sight of sea again she goes to him and she tells him that she has forgotten her charger to her phone and that no one will he looking for her until thursday and today it is saturday. They go back to the house and they eat and he explains in a short version what he is doing and she tells him she is getting married to her fathers best friend son, but he doesn´t believe she love the guy. He then brings up the fact that they have Unfinished business, and that they could take care of that the next 5 days, but Kat stand her ground eventhough she really wants him and tells him no and he still seem as confident as ever.

Later when they goes to bed Brock gets to sleep on the floor in the bedroom and he tries to get her to let him up in the bed. He think about the fact that everytime he camme into danger on jobs he thinks about Kat and the fact that he turned her down back then and he now regrets it. He ask her about her fiance, because he is sure that she doesn´t love him like she says she do, when he reminds her of it. He tries to seduce her and also ask how sex with him is and she reveals that she haven´t had sex with him and Brock finds it hard to understand that she love the guy and then doesn´t jump into bed with him when she clearly loves sex, and he can see it in her eyes that she is lying about how she loves Ian. At sometime doing the conversation he gets himself up in her bed and holding her hand and wen she doesn´t pull away he tries to kiss her, but she turn her cheek the last minute and tells him to go back down. But he still have 4 nights and days to seduce and he is planning on making the most of it. The next morning Brock is up when she wakes and he has already eaten all of the good doughnuts. They talk about the tatoo he ones had on his arm, which he got removed for the FBI job and about his brother Bruno who is in jail and everytime he gets out he go make some crap and end up in jail again. He also tells her that he has gotten another tatoo, but just in a more private place. After she cant stand sitting at the table looking at him, because she wants so much more so she takes a shower, whick is not so good eighter. When she is ready to go to the beach, Brock wont let her go alone so they go together.

Soon they are laying in a chair each on the beach and Brock can´t keep his eyes of her, and as soon as she starts putting sun lotion on he jumps at the chance at putting it on her back and she let him. Only he takes his time and give her a massage and he an feel that she is close to being his, but he doesn´t want to ruin it. But on instinct he open the straps on her bikini top and she let him, but only for a few minutes before stopping him and telling him that she can´t have sex with him and then go home to marry another guy and that if she wasn´t engaged it would be different and she goes for a swim. Brock still can´t shake the feeling that maybe Kat´s dad Spencer has pushed her into this marriage and that just makes Brock more concerned for her and wanting to get her out of the relationship which she doesn´t love. Later he makes lunch for them and she ask him why he wants her so much and instead of telling her that he wants to save he from a bad marriage too, he tells her he wants what he missed when he screved up and he tells her that he has learn the: Carpe Diem, thing. But she tells him she doesn´t believe him and she thinks it is to get back at her because his family has always been poor and hers always rich. And he tells her she is wrong both now and then, why he did things as he did. He then says to concentrate on the now and he tells her he wants her and that maybe he is selfish for that, but doesn´t care. And she storms inside, thanking him for reminding him of being a selfish, son of a bitch. Brock then decides to let her calm down a little, but not too much, he knows from his experience as an agent. Later after a long bath Kat goes to bed only to find Brock laying in it and he doesn´t want to move, so at last she lays down and tell him to behave, but she has a really hard time relaxing with him right there.

Brock wakes up the next morning to find her sleeping in a hammock outside and he goes to wake her and he tells her that he will sleep there for now on, when she tells him that she is goin to sleep there the rest of the time and she becomes mad that he keeps making things so difficult for her, and after a while she goes for a walk. He didn´t want her to become mad and he wonders if he maybe should leave the suduction alone. He then gets dress in some clothe Nina´s exboyfriend forgot there and for the first time in 10 years try to be a normal guy and he goes fishing and thinks of the thing that Kat´s dad did to him back 10 years ago. But suddenly there is a gun shot and Brock sees the brother´s yatch and hurries back to the house and gets some shoes for Kat. He then finds her and they get into the jungle and he tells her they are finding a hidding place for her and when she ask about him, he doesn´t want to tell her, but she makes him and he tells he is going out to lure them away. kat can´t have that and she begs him for a long time not to do it and to stay with her so she doesn´t do anything stupid and at last he says okay. The goes on in a straght line for a while and can suddenly hear people behind them and they go to the right until they find a cave thing and stay there and Brock ask her if she is sure that Ian is not gay, because she has just told him that Ian isn´t into breats. Suddenly someone is close and they have to stay quite, because Francisco is suddenly there but he moves on. After a while Brock ask her about her life and she tells them she has a cat Vincent after Van Gohg and that she lives alon and what she does for a living. She ask about the FBI, but he cant tell her about that, so she ask how he got into it and he tells her that he went to the police academy and that one instructor took him under his wing and thought Brock could do more, so Brock took some night classes at a community college and then the instructor thought he would be good for the FBI, esspecially since he didn´t really have any family and he made it in.

After a while Kat wakes up from her sleep when Brock wakes her and she knows that the people after them are near. She accidentally moves her foot and makes a sound and a man is right there and Brock tells her to run as the man doesn´t make an attempt to shoot her. Brock taints Carlos and run for it in Kat´s opposite direction with Carlos on his heels, but he soon runs and fall down a ravine. Carlos does the same, but is a little away from Brock so Carlos can´t see him. Brock takes a stone and decde to throw a stone in Carlos direction so he can get away and it works.
Kat is running when she runs into a chest and she is lucky because it is Brock and he takes her to a new hidding place he has found, but soon Francisco the mean one passes their hide out, but he disappears again. Later Kat wakes up again and it starts raining and then Brock ask her if they will die, if she regret nt having sex with him and she say yes and they start to kiss for some time until she stops it, reminding them that they are in danger. He then ask her how sje lost her virginity and she tells him that it is none of his business, but that it was nothing special. It has been quiet for awhile when the brothers come back and finds them and demands they get up to them and brock tells her to wait for his signal to run. They walk her first, then Brock and then the guys. Then suddenly one of the guys fall and Brock tells her to run and she runs, but with Carlos on her heels and after a while he catches up with her.

Brock is going with Francisco and he keeps asking where the key is. Brock gives him an answer and knocks him out to get the gun, but it isn´t quit enough. They struggle for a while until the gun goes flying a little while away. Brock gives Fracisco a blow again and heads for the gun, but a big snake is there. Francisco has stopped too, but Brock thinks WTF and goes for it and Francisco runs and Brock shhots but it doesn´t hit him. He goes back for the dock and finds Francisco there and Carlos with a gun to Kat´s head. He tries to talk some sence into Carlos, because he knows that he is not like Francisco, but Carlos becomes more and more nervous and Brock can see Kat breaking down so he aims and shoots Carlos and run for Carlos´s gun. Kat also runs for the gun and kicks it in the water before fracisco gets it, but he takes her legs. Then Brock comes with the gun and he lets go and Brock tells Francisco to get of the boat or he will shoot him. But instead Francisco takes of and Brock doesn´t shoot. Brock make sure Kat is okay and apologize and tells her he screwed up because Francisco will be back and not just with a few men or guns. But suddenly they hear an explosion and the boat is gone and Brock tells her that Francisco is most certainly dead now. They go inside and eat and have sex on the kitchen table and Brock apologizes for now ruining her wedding plans. And she tells him that yes now she has to cancel the wedding, but that she wants to make the best out of their next 3 days here and in her mind she finds out that for the first time she is really happy. After they take a shower together to get clean and they have sex there too. The next day they enjoy a day on the beach + more sex on the beach and Kat has somehow grown timid with showing her body to him and she is pretty sure she loves Brock, but knows he isn´t a setting down kind of guy and knows she will be sad when goodbye comes. At night she makes food for them and talk about the people they have been with and about settling down and Brock has a hard time beliving in Kat settling down with her wild blood. Little does he know that it is him that brought it up in her all those years ago.

They have sex again that night in a bed - the best they both have ever had. The next day they do it in a chair outside and then they go to lie in the hammock and he tells her about how her dad left them and that her mother blamed him and his brother and how she would disappear for hours locking them into rooms, and then one day she left and they knew it and they ended up living with their grandad. She ask why he left town 10 years ago and he still can´t tell her, but he do tell her that it was because his grandad wanted him too, which is true after his grandad heard about The Thing. At dinner Kat tells him that Ian is problably come with her dad in the boat tommorow and Brock ask her why she agreed to marry him, and she tells him all the same things she has told him before about him being a great guy, but when she meet Brock she realised she didn´t love him. She then tells Brock that her family is having money problems and that if she marries Ian, Ian have enough money for her family and his own family to stay rich. She tells him that her dad didn´t push her into the marriage, but that when she and Ian started dating he joked about how good it would be for the family´s problems if they one day got married. She tells him that she doesn´t have a problem with less money, but that her dad wants to take care of her and that Ian knew about the problem before he proposed before family and friends. Brock tells her he doesn´t know what will make her happy and that he didn´t knew 10 years ago. Brock quickly saves it, a mistake he has done twice today by mentioning about 10 years ago and why he really left, but he doesn´t want Kat to know. The next morning Brock gets Kat´s sea glass out of his pocket from the day before along with the key. Something about the keys and the fact that the brothers came back in the first place to the island after his escape has been nugging him, and when he sees the storage door in the house, a room that is alway closed he gets a crazy idea and tries the key in the door and it actually works and in there he finds the Mayan treasures. That mean that this was the pick up place all along and that Kat´s dad has something to do with it. He then closes the door before Kat comes, because he doesn´t want to make her sad, before he knows for sure. He takes a little stone from the closet with him and the key and when Kat comes he tells her in his work tone that she can´t tell her dad why he is here, he will do that. She gets a little mad but he apologize and ask what his father is dealing. She tells him that ones he imported Mayan artifacts and sold them to collectors and museums, but when it became illegal he switch to something else.

Later they are laying in the hammock and Kat ask him what his problem is and why he is suddenly in such a bossy mood again and that she doesn´t want to leave this as bad as last time. And eventhought she was never going to tell him, she puts herself out there and tells him how he hurt her and how she lost her virginity. And then he fells bad and he tells her that he had some stuff going on and he didn´t just wanted to have se with her and leave and he tells her he sometimes has fantasies about them together. And he tells her he wished he hadn´t turned her down the first time and then she demands to know why. he tells her the reason he turned her down was because she was 17 and if her dad found out he would problably end in jail. He also wasn´t sure if Kat knew what she wanted and that she only wanted him because he was a little bad and it would piss her dad of. And he also tells her why he left town. Kat becomes angry and sad because of the way her dad changed her life, maybe she wouldn´t have been so wild, maybe she wouldn´t have lost her virginity to dumb Scott, Maybe her and Brock would have fallen in love and she could have tammed him down. And most of all she had agree to marry Ian on the fact of her father and the money. She tells him that she was really crazy about him and he tells her he knows and then she confesses that he was the only guy she ever really wanted and if he didn´t want her why not go bad. They have sex and suddenly kat is sad, because she ask Brock why it has to end and he tells her he is not into relationships and Kat becomes mad and storms to the beach saying she could as well marry Ian. Then the boat comes and her mom, dad, Ian and Nina are on it. The doesn´t notice Brock at first but after Spencer ask what he is doing here and he tel´ls them he was out sailing then there was a big storm and he got of his boat as it sank. Then he came here and Kat tried to drive him back, but her boat had some trouble and it exploded. They get on the boat and soon brock goes below deck and Nina comes down there and ask what have really been going on but he tells her to ask Kat. She tells him that she hated Ian and have been trying to get Kat out of the marriage and Brock tells her that Kat had admitted she doesn´t love Ian and tells her to do anything to stop the wedding. Kat can´t stop thinking about Brock and that saturday before her wedding Nina tries to stop her, but it doesn´t help and Kat also admits to her that yes they had sex.

Brock finds himself in front of the church where kat is getting married that saturday. The FBI has collected the treasures and the island is being observed. And then yesterday he found himself driving down here to Florida from Miami and now he is in front of the church Nina told him. He goes inside and is in the shadow as the bridesmaids make their intrance. Then Kat comes and she sees him and follow the bridesmaids with her father and Brock moves closer and consider speaking up, but he soon finds out that that part is skipped. Now Kat is standing up there and knows that he and Brock will never have a relationship like she wants, but she say no and runs out of the church without seeing Brock. Then suddenly he parks in front of her in his porch and tells her to get in. She gets in as she see her family come out of the church along with Nina who is smilling. then she tells him to drive her to her place and she ask her why he was there and he tells her to see if she was really going to do it and if she was he wanted to stop her. He follows her inside and opens her door with a credit card because she doesn´t have her keys. Then as he give her a kiss goodbye, they almost ending up having sex again but she stops him telling him that she can´t do it knowing it doesn´t mean anything to him and he tells her again that he isn´t into relationship and she tells him she is and ask him to leave and he leaves. Later her father comes over and she explains that she doesn´t love Ian and that she kind of agreed to marriage because of him, she also tells him she knows anout Brock but forgives him because he is her dad. Her dad ask about her and Brock and she tells him that she will never see him again. Then Nina and her mom comes up and Nina and her make a deal to hang out tonight.
Later brock is in his granddad´s house one of the reasons he came to Florida and he thinks about how much Kat really likes him and suddenly the name Ian Zeller tells him something. Brock has been asked to take a month vacation and the new agent 23 years old Keith Nichols, who looks up to Brock has now contacted him to know more of the case and he tells Nichols that he is sure Ian is the man behind it all and that maybe Spencer has no idea that the treasures were there. A couple of night after they walk into the gallery, where Nichols now has the job Brock had 10 years ago. Spencer is shocked when he comes out of his office to find out they are both from FBI esspaecially Brock and they goes into his office and ask him questions and Spencer tells them he didn´t know about the treasures being on the island or about the 2 brothers and he is shocked to know Kat was in danger. Brock finds himself wanting Spencer to pay and at the same tme not wanting to hurt Kat so he tells spencer that eventhought it is up to Nichols, that if he tells them enough information he may not be put in jail.

2 weeks have gone by and Ian is on his way to trial were after he will be put behind bars for a long time. Brock has spent the last couple of weeks fixing up his grandfather´s place and decided not to sell it and he has also been thinking a lot about Kat. Now he goes to visit Bruno who he hasn´t visited since christmas and he tells Bruno when he ask about his job that he might be giving up FBI sone to do something new. And Brock tells him that the next time Bruno gets out he wants to try and help him get better and not go behind bars again.
The night of Kat´s big opening she is at the gallery making pot´s and looking at the mayan stone that is missing a peace that her dad gave to her a long time ago. His father got it cheap from a lady and there is a legend to it: That there are 2 pieces and that they got separated because the lovers got separated and they never found out what happened to the other piece. Then when the piece got back together the old lovers and the one who found the pieces would be reunited for eternity.
Suddenly Brock is outsíde and he comes in and tells her he wanted to give her a peace of stone, he took when he found the treasures in the house and now he has the permission to keep it so he wanted her to have it. To Kat´s suprise the stone looks like her stone and she hurries to the wall where her stone is hanging and see that the 2 pieces fits together, eventhough the look whole without each other it looks even more amazing wíth each other. She then ask why he took it and he tells her it was something that caught his eye. Kat is so suprised and she tells him the legend. But becomes a little embarredes and tells him so much for legends. He seem to get mad and tells her he loves her, but can´t have her because being FBI everyone that is close to him could be in danger. But kat becomes mad too because she doesn´t want to be second and that is what she is too him and she tells him to leave.

The week after on saturday Kat is working with the children and after she is suppose to get ready for a night out with her friends to become wild again. Nina then calles and Kat tells her that she needs to do some things first before they meet up.
Brock is working at his grandpa´s house and does what he does always think about Kat. And the fact that he wasn´t going to say i love you, but that he do love her but he doesn´t know how to love a women. He then hurts hmself with a hammer and decide to take a break and go outside with a beer.
As Kat drives up to Brock grandpa´s house, she sees when the house comes into view Brock sitting at the same car seat out by the lake he did 10 years ago. She gets out of her car and goes to give him the 2 pieces of stone explaining that everytime she looks as the she still feel like the pieces are seperated. She turn to leave and tells him to quit calling her Kitten, eventhough he tells her that that is what he calls her. When she storms toward the car he gets up and grabs her wrist and tells her he miss and love her. And tries to explain how much she means to him and tells him to give him another chance and that she will come first from now on. And she agrees to frogive him and tells him that today is her birthday and that he still owes her a present from 10 years ago, and they have sex in the chair. After he looks at her belly were she has gotten a tatoo, because Nina told her to do something as a token, of a cat and under there the words kitten is written. He tells her that he has been thinking about quitting the whole going on a mission and then stay on the investigations. And Brock gets her to call Nina to tell her that she wont be coming tonight.

I thought that the things in the book could have been a little bit more spread like you can divide the book up in 3 parts: 1. getting chased and almost die. 2. Sex, Sex, Sex and then some talking. 3. finding out he loves her. I would have liked that 1 and 2 was a little bit more mixed together, because #1 was exiting and then you get to #2 and then the whole things just kind of drops because it is all sex. But i liked the fact with the stone and i would have liked it to play maybe a bigger role. I also liked the fact that it ended and started in the same place in the chair and i could just imagine that place.

'Jack' Jakarta Finnegan is 17 years old and has 5 older sisters who are all married/or getting married, but Jack is never getting married, but if she is it will be a vegas wedding. Jack has always been a bridesmaid for her sister´s but after wedding number 2 she found out that the Finnegan family has a curse.... well at least Jakarta does. To the first wedding when she was 14 years old, the best man got stuck in a snowstorm in june, it rain with seagulls when they cut the cake and the organ player got sick. And after Jack´s boyfriend Patrick broke up with her.
At wedding number 2, she asked her new boyfriend David to be her date and on that day the groom broke his wrist in tennis and all the wedding invitations got sended back because they were missing 2 cents. The day before that wedding she told David she loved him, and then her uncle called and told her the hotel burned down. And on the way to the wedding when she kissed David the limosine got struck by lightning and that caused an accident, but no one got hurt. After this David broke up with her too.

Jack´s parents name is Ken and Kathy and they travel the world with their kids and they make books about it called Ken and Kathy’s Travel Guide series. Her parents has also named all their children after places they have been and Jack, got the far worst name. Now with almost all children out of the house they mostly travel themself, but Jack sometimes gets with them because she is easy and when she doesn´t want to stay at home with Paris for too long.
*Her sisters names is Alexandria: who is the oldest and 28 years old and is a lawyer. She got married 2 years ago to Harvey another lawyer who is totally boring.
*Sydney is 26 and a half, She’s athletic, short, full of energy, a pediatrician, and got married to Marco a tennis instructor 1 year ago.
*Victoria is the romantic sister and was always sweet and quite until she found out she was getting married. She works at a elementary school where she teaches art.
*Paris came 10 months after Victoria and is totally different. She has a nosering and want to become the world’s most famous female glassblower. And the world will not be able to survive 2 Paris´s, because she is like the acting out kid. Paris still lives at home and doesn´t pay rent, but she isn´t home that often because she is all over the place finding new things to do. When there is a argument with her parents, which there is often she wins and she just love to have the attention on her and making scenes.
*Sofia is 21 years old, is Jack´s best friend and the biggest genius in the world and goes to college. *Jack is an easy child because she has always tried to stay under the radar, because if she was loud and a naughty, Paris would be it more and if you were sweet Victoria would be much more and so on.

Now it is soon Victoria´s turn to get married to Kevin, the world weirdest guy, so saturday in early may her bridal shower is being held at a tea room in town. Jack has used her entire night yesterday wrapping things around candles and when she shows up the receptionest doesn´t seem to think that Jack is Victoria´s sister, and who would when they are all so different. But her mom comes out and of course she uses her name Jakarta, but she only let her parents call her that. Then her mom thinks she has forgot the candles, but why would Jack do that when she has spend her whole night on them? And of course no one of her other sisters have time to do it, so it ended up being Jack. Of course to this wedding they have a wedding planner named Carolina Trapelo, because at Sydney´s wedding her mom was going crazy, because it stressed her out all the different things there where to choose, because Sydney choose to do it herself. Suddenly her mother is worried about the cakes that Sydney is suppose to bring and like always Carolina appears and calms her down. Jack turns her attention to the parking lot and see the most gorgeus guy outside standing against a car with a yo-yo and then Sydney pulls up at the lot. Jack wants to get closer to see the guy and goes outside to help Sydney with the cakes and suddenly Sofia comes and Jack whispers to check out the guy. Sofia ask her if she should hold the cakes so Jack can get his number, but Jack reminds her that she doesn´t date guy doing the wedding. Sofia of course follows her to tell her that there is no curse, but Jack tells her that if she ever want a serious relationship, she has got to wait until the sisters are done getting married. Sofia tells her she doesn´t hope she waits to after she gets married because that could take a long time, as Sofia doesn´t date a lot because she is studying at college. But Jack tells her that after Vicky´s wedding she figure she has 2 years until Paris´s so she can begin dating again at that time. Jack has forgot her present so Sofia makes sure that Jack´s name is on her gift too.

By 2 Victoria comes, but there is no sign of Paris - but no suprise there. While they are opening present Jack has to make a list of what Victoria is getting and from who, eventhough Alex is doing it too. Jack thinks it is because Alex sent a thank you note to the wrong person, and the person who was writting things down then was of course, Paris. In this time Jack can´t eat anything and when she gets over to the food table after it is all gone. Of course there is the cupcakes, but she can´t eat those until they have played the game Alex came up with, where Alex ask Vicky a question to see if her answers matches Kevin´s and Jack and even Sofia is laughing out their pants without showing it, because maybe then Vicky will give Jack an even uglier bridesmaid dress. After they have to play another game in team and one of the person in each team has to be made a bridal dress on from toilet paper and of course Jack´s team insist it must be her and halfway through it Paris shows up making her grand intrance. And introduces them to her great new who just can´t wait: Jiro her new boyfriend who she has brought to the shower for girls. Jiro is from Taiwan. He’s a model and they are getting married. Their mom then faints and every one of her dauhters runs to her except Jack and then Paris and Vicky starts going at each others throats. And it ends with Vicky saying that Paris is always jealous and making scene´s so she tells Paris to get pot and that Paris isn´t a bridesmaid anymore. Vicky storms out with most of her friends and Paris yells and goes over to kiss Jiro and announces that they are getting married on the beach in 3 months - august. Then Sydney and Alex tells her to shut up and tells her that they have spent a lot of time planning the wedding, eventhough Jack has done much more than them. Sydney then goes to take care of Vicky and Alex tells Jack to clean up because the place is a mess and that she is taking their mother home. Then it is only Paris, her Sofia and Jiro. Sofia helps Jack, while Paris just eat cake and sits in a couch. Paris tells them they met in New York at that photo shoot she went to 2 months ago. Jack ask how she knows that he has proposed and Paris tells her that she just know because they are in love. She also tells them that the 2 of them, her and Sofia are going to be the only bridemaids, because they are the only 2 supporting her. But Jack and Sofia just shares a look that says clearly: really, are we??. Jack curses herself for not storming out of there and Jack tells Sofia that she can wait until august and that C´est la vie, that she can´t date yo-yo guy now.

The next day and the night before food is cupcakes and Paris is fighting with their parents at any moment. Sofia tells her that if she can eat 8 cupcakes in a row, she will plan Paris’s bachelorette party instead of Jack and their mom. So and half hour later Jack is full and she announces to Paris that Sofia will take care of the bachelorette party. Later they go to the fitting of the brides dress and all the six bridemaids = the sisters except for Paris who has been replaced by Kelly one of Vicky´s friends. Then Carolina shows up asking her to go pick up some tiara´s in the front of the shop and there the yo-yo guy is, without yo-yo. he is by the tiara´s and he says hi to her and she finds out his name is Leo and tellls him about her sisters and the fact that she uses a lot of time in bridal shops. And he says she must be on of the Finnegan´s, and Jack is wondering how the hell she know about them, when Carolina comes and tells her that Leo is her son and that he is helping her this summer, and that she is available for Paris wedding. Leo helps her pick out tiara´s, they talk and he ask if he can see her dress who she says she hate, but she says that he can not. Jack then goes to try out the ugly bridesmaid dress and when Carolina tells Vicky they can start on the favors and the place cards next weekend, Vicky says okay and says that Jack can help. Sofia gets back to school that night to work on her finals and by tuesday Paris walk into Jack´s room eventhought Jack is doing homework and demanding that they look for dresses and places online for her wedding. On saturday Paris comes inside her room really early in the morning and tells that the 2 of them has a meeting with Carolina and her assistant this morning and when Jack finds out it is leo she is out of the bed in no time. They pick up Leo and Carolina and Leo tells Jack that that must be the crazy sister she talked about. Jack finds out that Leo is a junior like her, but at the Ben Franklin Academy and Jack finds out he actually like the kind of job his mother does, with fiding locations and such, but he has also grown up with it all his life. When they get to the first place a country club with a beach, Carolina tells Paris it is quite prizy, but Paris tells her that she is doing her own catering with Jack and Sofia´s help. At the place Jack can quickly see that Paris doesn´t like it and when Paris is ready they go to the next places and Carolina tells Paris she knows the perfect place. There is a little arguing but Paris drives to the place which turns out to be a national park. Paris is not happy, but when she sees the beach she is totally lost in happiness and runs to it with Carolina on her heals. Jack tells Leo that she could never be a wedding planner, but he tells her he thinks she would be good at it since she is a pretty good observer.

The next day sunday Vicky has decided for them to start amking favors at 8 in the morning. Paris wanted Jack out dress shopping, but her dad told Paris that Jack had to be here today so Paris went out. But Jack doesn´t want to wake up yet so she goes to sleep again and a half an hour later, she is awakened by Leo standing in her door while she is in bed, pyjamas and totally messy hair. He comes in and sit down on her bed and Jack tells him that she knows that he get paid for this, but she doesn´t so it is going to take a lot more than the 20 bucks an hour he just said he got to get her out of bed. He then tells her how about dinner and Jack knows that she cant date hime so she says she has wedding stuff all week, but feels bad and tells him that on Sunday there is Paris´s engagement party and since Carolina is practually family he can come too. She joins them dowstairs when she has thrown on a hoddie and suprise Sydney is there and the only place Jack can sit is next to Leo. And Vicky has choosen the most complicated, artsy, elaborate and fucking annoying thing to make as favors because Sydney and Alex already did the easy ones at their wedding. Suddenly her mom and Vicky gets into an argument about the seating and Vicky tells her mom that Paris and her date are not invited and that Sofia and Jack has to bring a date each to fill the family table. Jack starts to protest but Vicky wont have it and says that Jack better not start explaining about her wedding curse again, because there is no such thing. And Jack really regret telling her, but she was alone without Sofia a year ago at Sydney´s wedding and she just accidentally told Vicky, but she never told her about the whole David break-up and she s glad she didn´t. Leo then ask what curse and Vicky tells him that Jack thinks that if she brings a guy to a wedding it will destroy the relationship and wedding and that Jack doesn´t plan to date until all her sisters are married. And when Jack look at Leo he has an a-ha look on his face that Jack, so doesn´t like and then Sydney says that Jack doesn´t have any romantic bones and Jack knows that it is so not true. And soon after Leo saes her from the conversation hermom and Vicky is right back arguing.

At wednesday Jack is at work at the ice cream shop Yummery, Leo comes by (when they were out with Paris she told him were she worked) and he has 7 different cake pieces with him from and earlier cake tasting his mom had with another bride, not from her family and he ask her to eat it with him. He also tells her that he is lactose-intolerant, so he can´t eat ice cream, when she ask him if he wants some. They eat the cakes and she tells him that there problably wont be a cake she can get at her weddinh in 200 years because by then her sisters will have taken all the cakes there is. When they are done he ask her about the curse, when she goes around turning of all the lights in the shop. He ask if she really doesn´t want to date any guys until all her sisters are married and she tells him that she just think something wiill go terrible wrong and he tells her she hasn´t heard his argument and when she ask what it is, he kisses her. The kiss gets deeper, but then there is a car outside and Jack breaks it because it could be her parents and as they hurries out of the shop it turn out to be worse, Paris. She ask what they have been doing and Leo tells her Jack asked his advice on wedding photographers because Jack was going to give Paris a book about them, so Paris didn´t have to check them out. Paris gets happy but tells her that she has tons of photographers as friend and that she will get one of them to do it. But Paris tells her that she can research on where to rent tents and chairs ect. and Leo promise to help and Paris drags her to the car and Jack thinks about the amazing kiss.

By Saturday morning Vicky drags Jack with her to help her choose table linens: color of tablecloths. And in the afternoon Paris drags her out grocery shopping with her to her party she is catering for 12 people the next day. By sunday Paris drags her out of bed early to help her make food. Then later Leo and Carolina comes, after them Sydney, Alex and their husbands and then Jiro and Sofia, who looks really happy. then at the party much to everyone and esspecially Paris surprise they finds out that Jiro is vegetarian. Later Sydney and Marco is out playing frisbee with the damily dog Dublin and when Dublin takes the frisbee and hide in the bushes at the edge of the garden by the forest, the 2 of them comes back and Jack runs after Dublin and when she turns arounf Leo is there and before she can say anything he kisses her. But as good as it is she stops it and says that she really like him and that will just make things worse. But he tells her that he wanted to be with her from the first moment he saw her and why they shouldn´t give it a chance. She say she can´t and he ask her if they can still be friends and she say of course because they are going to be seeing a lot of each other all summer.

The next weekend it is Sofia’s college graduation, but no one except from Jack seem to remember with all the weddings. Jack present for Sofia is a photo album of her life, since she couldn´t afford a weekend away for the 2 of them. The week has been crazy since things has hone wrong for both Vicky and Paris this week. The origional plan was for, her, mom, dad, Paris and Vicky to drive up there together on saturday and stay on a hotel to sunday the day of the gratuation. But when Jack gets home from school friday she takes the car and drives up to Sofia and it doesn´t occur to her to call Sofia and tell her she is crashing a night more with her at her dorm, because she has done in before. But to her suprise when she opens the door to Sofia´s room she finds a naked boy with Sofia and he runs to the bathroom, while Sofia starts laughing. Jack waits out in the hall and think about the only guy Sofia has ever been serious about a boy named Ben from England who had a semester at Sofia´s college sometime the last couple of years and then he had to go home. To Jack suprise when she comes back into the room the guy is Ben, and Sofia takes her for a milkshake, where she explains that ben has been back for 3 months when he one night stood outside her college window and telling her he couldn´t live without her. And Sofia tells her she didn´t tell her because of the whole Jack not dating vov and Jack tells her that she shouldn´t worry about that. Sofia also ask her if Jack could sleep in the comen room at her dorm tonight as she wats her last night with Ben, because from sunday she is going to be home all summer and Jack says it is fine and that she has studying to do anyway. At 10 at night when she is studying her phone rings and before checking the number she takes it and it turn out to be Leo, who got her number from Paris. He tells her that he has already done the research for the renting for Paris, because his mom had a whole map of files of it. She ask why he called and it turns out to be just to talk, but if she is with Sofia he wont interupt. She tells him she is not and they talk until midnight.

One week before Vicky´s wedding on a saturday morning Vicky comes by early with Lucille and Kelly to take Sofia and Jack with her for a spa day. Jack doesn´t really like spa´s after the 2 other weddings and she doesn´t want to spend time with Lucille who threats her like she is 9 or something, but she has no other choice. Vicky has choosen the most cheap services and Jack are suppose to get a facial. She ask Vicky for a pedicure and Sofia who has gotten that one tells her they can exchange cards, but Vicky doesn´t want that so Jack has to get a facial. So Jack meets up with HELGA who is doing her facial and after she has gotten steam in her head HELGA says it is bad and starts doing something to Jack´s face that hurts like hell. Jack doesn´t care this is Vicky´s wedding not hers and she wont go through this torture. She tries to get up but doesn´t win. When she is finally done her face hurts and she is red all over and she just want to go home and hide under a pillow, but no because when she gets home Leo is there. Vicky freaks, but Leo tells her he just came by to drop of a list of band and music and her, Kelly and Lucille disappears into the house, while Sofia goes to talk to the phone with Ben. Jack sits beside Leo on the porch with a sweatshirt over her head and they talk and he touches her for a while until Vicky screams her inside. When she gets inside all the bridemaids including her parents are in her room, because she has the best sound system and they listen for songs the most of the day. When she goes out to walk Dublin she finds a package fro Leo at the front door to her with a face cream and note from Leo inside.

The day of the wedding Vicky is freaking out. She has slept at the house that night and luckily Paris is in Florida with Jiro to buy wedding rings this weekend. When Vicky wakes up all hell breaks loose because she haven´t slept good and her eyes looks like crap and Vicky says she can´t possible get married this day, Sofia tells her as she hurries inside Jack´s room that morning. So Jack call Carolina who allready know what is going on before she even answers. Later Jack and Vicky is in the manor of the botanical gardens and Vicky tells her that she appreciate how she has been there for her and Jack is suprised and happy she noticed because Alex and Sydney certainly didn´t say thank you. Then Carolina and Leo comes in and Vicky announces that Leo will be her date for the wedding and she whisper to Jack that Jack problably didn´t even notice him - if she just knew. Carolina has some flowers with her and as soon as they get beside Jack she starts sneezing and Carolina concludes that it is allergies. Leo takes her outside, but eventually she has to go back to the room and her face doesn´t look good and Sofia tries to save her make-up in 15 minutes. Then it is time for the foto´s in the gazebo, but as soon as Jack gets near the bouquets her eyes starts watering and she starts to sneeze. Then Leo comes and replaces the hyacinths flowers in her bouquet with fake silk flower and of course Vicky gets mad, but Carolina explain that Jack can´t breath through the wedding if she has to have those flowers near her. And Vicky accept and they change all of the flowers in the bouquets. Then Leo pulls her to the side and tells her that maybe they beat the curse and if she can frgive him for being the suprise date and he gives her a quick kiss before running of. After it is time for the ceremony and the shoes Vicky has choose are killing Jack, because it is the first time she wears them because Vicky didn´t allow them to wear them before and the ceremony takes an hour. Then it is the reception and no bad thing has happen yet, and soon it is time for the bride and bridemaids first dance with their dates. As Jack and Leo dance they talk about the song choice and he observe to her that she think a lot about how her wedding is not going to be. And he says he actually does it too and that when he was 12 he also choose a song for his first dance, but that he has matured since then. Jack begs him to tell her and he tells her it was The Backstreet Boys: I Want It That Way, and Jack totally cracks up laughing. He then takes her into
the dark garden and starts kissing her, and Jack is sure that this is different and not like David and that the wedding curse will be okay.

As they are kissing there suddenly comes a crash from inside and her and Leo hurries inside to see two players from the band in a fight and soon the other joins in. Several members of her family tries to stop it including Kevin the groom and he gets punched in the nose. Vicky tries to run to help him, but her heals break and she goes flying into the 6 layered cake. There is candles on that table and suddenly Vicky´s dress is on fire. Jack is closets and she doesn´t think before she acts so she just throws herself at Vicky to try to put the fire out, but her dress goes on fire too and the Leo comes with a tablecloth to put out the fire and Jack faints. Jack wakes up at the hospital with Sofia and Leo by her side and her hands hurts and they are wrapped in gaze. Sofia tells her that there were so many layers in Vicky´s dress that it could have burned for 2 hours without getting near Vicky. Jack tells them she feel kind of peacefull and Leo tells her it is the painkillers and she then goes to call their parents who had to go back and deal with things. Leo tries to kiss her but she blocks it. Then Sofia comes back and gives the phone to Leo, whos mom wants to talk to him. Then Sofia starts to cry and tells her that she should be focusing on Jack instead of her own relationship problems. Jack tells her to tell her and Sofia tells her that she thinks her and Ben broke up. Under the wedding Ben joked about their wedding and she told him if he wasn´t a little too fast. Then he told her she should come with him to England for a year and postpone grad school, but she told him that they only just got back together and such and then he said he doubted her commitment in their relationship right now and she told him it would be a hugh step. He got mad and left and Jack got on fire. Sofia and her talk for a while and then her parents come.

The next day she wakes up at the hospital to Paris who wants her to help with invitations and she uses the next 2 days on this at home. On day number 2 Leo shows up and she tells him she can´t date him right now and he tells her she is just being superstitious and Jack says maybe but that she just cant right now. He then help her with the invitations and later leaves. Then when Jack gets the bandages of they are celebrating at dinner a night, but Paris soon starts talking about her wedding and the fact that it will he bright, yellow leotards. Sofia soon starts planning the bachelorette party for Paris, and as Jack and Sofia are out walking Dublin Jack tells her that with Paris there better be a stripper and bars or she isn´t going to be happy. Sofia suggest they and Paris 10 closest friends go to the pottery-making in town and after dinner and Jack thinks it sounds found and they send and email to the 10 friends, who thinks Paris deserves more and they tells them that they will be planning the rest of the night. Sofia reminds them that her and Jack doesn´t want strippers but they doesn´answer back. When the day of the party comes Paris seems to think that there can come strippers at any time and instead of choosing the resturant Sofia and Jack has choosen, Paris friends chooses a resturant were the drinks has dirty names and it becomes clear that everyone except Sofia and her are going to be pretty drunk. Later they follow one of Paris´s friend directions as Jack and Sofia drives them and they end up in that friends appartment were there suddenly are 2 male strippers and Jack hurries down the stairs and out on to the street were Sofia catches up with her and Jack tells her she is going to wait in the car, and that Sofia can go up there to keep and eye on them, eventhough Sofia wants to go up there as much as Jack wants. Sofia doesn´t want to leave her because it could be hours before they get on the road again and she hints to call Leo. Jack says kind of no, but Sofia tells her that they will get Paris to pay Carolina for it, because that is the least Paris can do and she then calls Carolina. Leo comes 5 minutes after and gets into the cars and they talk about the fact that there are strippers and that Leo got invited to a bachelor party to a strip club, but turned it down this summer. Then Jack mention David and leo ask if she is sure the wedding curse doesn´t have something to do with the boys she has taken with her to them. And she says problably and he tells her mayby if she takes a decent date with her that she has choosen herself the curse will break or something. They talk for 3 hours until Paris and her friends comes and they drive them home and Sofia and her has to drag Paris to bed and Sofia gets Jack to promise no strippers at her party if she gets married.

Thursday night in August, a week and two days before Paris’s wedding at 11 at night Sofia comes into her room while Jack is talking to Leo and is so happy and say that Jack better get up and get clothe on and pack, because her and Ben are eloping to Las Vegas to get married. Jack is shocked but get up to pack and Sofia tells her that she was out walking Dublin and that he was outside and that he said that he should also show a commitment if she should go to Vegas with him so he dropped down and asked her. Leo is still on the phone when Sofia disappears to get her stuff and Leo says that her family really is crazy and that he is coming with them and will meet them at the airport. Jack is not sure but Leo reminds her that it wont be so nice being alone, when the newly weeds go to do what they do. So when they get to the airport Leo is there, they order their ticket and hurries to the plane. When they get to Vegas it rains and is almost morning and they go to the hotel in a cab and Sofia and Ben goes to their room and Jack tells Sofia that she can share the other room with Leo and that he has promised to behave. They go to their rooms and before they part Sofia tells them they can go to sleep and they will call them later. In Jack and Leo´s room there are 2 beds and she is tired so she falls asleep quickly. Leo wakes her at 2 in the afternoon and tells her that Sofia hasn´t called yet. Jack tries to call her but she doesn´t pick up. They shower, dress and watch tv until Sofia calls and tells them that they have found the perfect chapel and that they figure the ceremony will be tonight, but that her and Ben has to sort out some things first. Jack ask about Sofia calling mom and dad and she tells Jack that she called them but only said that her and jack needed a weekend away but nothing more.

After Leo and her go out for a couple of hours and when they get back to the room eo is wet because they had to protect Jack´s self choosen bridemaid dress. Sofia then calls and tells her that her and Ben are still talking and that the wedding will be the next day instead. Then they are trying to get dry and is both half naked and suddenly Jack can´t control herself and she starts kissing him. He stops her, but she says it is okay and they have sex. They wake up in each others arms at midnight and they do alot of things until Sofia calls the next day and says that they are not eloping, because they are only 21 years old and it was a bit sudden and that she is okay about it and that they are leaving tonight because that will be cheaper. Everything goes great until they are back in town and Leo ask her if it means that he is her date to Paris wedding and she says no because she doesn´t want to ruin it. He then gets mad and tells her he has been patience all summer and waited for her, because he is crazy about her and believes in love at first sight, but that she obviously doesn´t care for him that much and that it was her who kissed him. He tells her he doesn´t understand her and walks away. When they come home there are shouting from Paris in the house and their father tells them to take care of Paris and Paris tells them they are no longer bridemaids and they are so so happy about that. The rest of the day Jack is helping their mom with Paris´s wedding and she always thinks about Leo.

The next week eventhough her and Sofia are no longer bridemaids, Paris gets them to do all the same things as before and every day Jack calls Leo but it goes straight to voicemail. Thueday morning at 6 in the moring Paris comes crashing into her room and makes a lot of noise and calls Sofia who comes into Jack´s bed and she tells them a hurricane is heading for her wedding. When paris leaves Sofia tells her that a natural disaster is heading their way, and ask Jack if she is dating anyone and if it is her fault, sarcastically. By friday her and Sofia are doing things all day and at night it is time for the rehearsel dinner where Vicky and Kevin shows up and Paris doesn´t freak. The morning of Paris´s wedding saturday Jack wakes up at 10 and the house is quiet and she thinks she has gone deaf. She goes down to the kitchen and find her mom and Carolina enjoying the piece and quiet and they tells her that Paris is still sleeping and the weather seems great for now. Sofia comes down and her and jack goes outside to pick flowers in the forest behind their house. Sofia ask about Leo and Jack tells her the story and Jack admit that she loves him and Sofia tells Jack to go find him right now and takes the flowers Jack is caring. So jack takes her bike and go there and she ask him to be her date to the wedding, says she is sorry and says she loves him and he tells her he needs some time to think. By noon the doorbell rings and it is Vicky in her wedding gown and she goes up to wake Paris and there is no screaming. 1 ½ later Sofia, her and their mom drives to the place the wedding is being held with stuff and Paris still hasn´t come out of her room. While Jack is doing something with some cards the wind takes half of them and she has to chase them and suddenly Leo is there helping her and she kisses him after. Then some of her sisters arrive and soon the guest and groom comes. They have been sitting in the sun for 10 minutes when the music begin and they turn around and see Paris and the ceremony starts and in the distant they can see the storm moving in. The ceremony is quick and after Jack finds out frim her dad that it is only a storm now. And as the dj represent the married couple she also introduces Kevin and Vicky who comes in, in their wedding gear and Jack is suprise together with some other people. It turn out that while they were in Vegas Vicky and Paris became friends again and Vicky listen to Paris complain and therefore Paris decided to share her reception as Vicky´s got ruined. Soon Leo and jack is dancing and he almost falls into the chocolate fountain, but Jack saves him. And he says you saved me and he says that mayby the curse is broken, she says it is not and he says it is perfect and then he kisses her.

This was a really good, sweet, fun and romantic teen book.
I would really have loved if Jack had a flip out on all of her sisters and family at the same time because it doesn´t seem like they really see how much she does for them. Sometimes it just seems a little unnatural that she didn´t do something. Sure i would problably have done the same, but i am not so sure that i would could take it how much they depend on her and doesn´t see it, they just thinks that she want to do it. I really liked the whole curse thing and i liked the crazy sisters and finding out what they did now and etc.
I would also really have liked if you could have seen all the sisters together sometime and feel their bond, because you can really feel that Sofia and Jack are close, but what about the others? That just kind of annoyed me.
and what about the whole Yo-Yo??? I would have liked t have heard more of that, because it seems weird to call him Yo-Yo guy and then never mention it again
